SomniLight FL-41 Light Sensitivity Sunglasses for Migraine Prevention (Outdoor)

No More Pain
Works as described - I noticed a difference the very first day I used them. I have chronic migraine and the longer I’ve had the condition the more photosensitive I’ve gotten. So even if I dont have a migraine and am wearing regular sunglasses, if I spend a couple hours outdoors in the sun I WILL have a migraine soon. And yeah it always too bright for my eyes to be comfortable anymore anyways. These glasses fixed that right off the bat. They don’t hurt my head (but I do wear a smaller hat size). They don’t seem overly fragile but I’m careful with them. I like the extra coverage the wrap around design gives me - but let’s be honest they aren’t the sexiest things! Small loss considering the relief they give me. I still get migraines - but the ones that are triggered by being outdoors in the sunlight have all been eliminated. So there you go. I get to play outside with my kids more and work in the garden without paying for it with a migraine.UPDATE: bought my second pair, first pair lasted a calendar year with heavy use, then frames cracked. Not too bad, I wear these every single day. Second pair is not as tight, but my head is smaller so these fall off occasionally. That being said they are still holding up even though they seem more lightweight than the last pair. My guess is the MFG is trying to fix the tightness issue many were complaining about but now I have the opposite issue. Very minor tho considering the benefit they give me. I am not changing my rating, still very happy. Almost a year on the new pair - a little scratched from falling off my head but still not broken.

Flimsy
They work as intended, they do stop pain from blue lighting. However the lense wasn’t attached when it arrived and it feels flimsy. Might return

Best sunglasses ever
I have extreme light sensitivity and the sunglasses have changed my life quite a bit I can wear them inside. If the lights are bothering my eyes, I can wear them outside to prevent my migraines from coming back in wear them watching movies or TV. I absolutely love these sunglasses and if I could afford to add buy a lot of pears because I seem to keep losing my sunglasses. If my migraines get out of hand, my sunglasses will not help in that circumstance. It’s not a really bad migraine I can use them and continue doing what I am doing and be able to get the things I need done done if it’s not a really bad migraine, which is super nice, if it’s really bad unfortunately I just need to go to bed.

Comfort
The lenses were great but the frames are junk.

Great eye protection!
I have post covid photophobia. These glasses protect my eyes much better than regular sunglasses. They are a little bit big for my face, but I have a very small one.

Good quality
So far they are good as sunglasses. It may take time to tell if they help stop the light sensitivity migraine trigger, but so far so good.

Seniors Beware these Poor Quality Glasses fall apart right away!
I bought the glasses for my husband who has extreme light sensitivity. At first we were very pleased, the glasses were light, and worked well outdoors. We were stunned when the temple simply fell off after 4 days of using the glasses. I planned on returning the glasses, but found that the return window had closed. Forty-Nine Dollars for a pair of glasses that fell apart so quickly is a loss that senior citizens like my husband and I can not afford. So beware, do not buy these shoddy glasses.

Reasonably effective, way too tight.
For being the outdoor versions they could bit a bit darker, but still very good at reducing light-induced migraines. They are WAY too tight, however. I don't have a wide head, and the pressure would start to bug me after half an hour. The normal distance between the earpieces is barely 3.5 inches, so there's a lot of stretch which for me clamps just behind the ears. They are plastic so you can't bend them to size. You can, however, use heat to reform them. Wrap a towel around the lens portion to protect them, then a rubberband around the arms close to the lenses. Stretch the earpieces around a (heat resistant) object and carefully apply heat. I used a toaster oven (with the door open!), but a heat gun set to low may also work. I know it's probably tempting for some of you, but DO NOT use a microwave. This is plastic and rubber, so it will soften at less than 200F, and anything over 250F for any length of time will give you a melty mess.I assume a lot of people who want FL-41 glasses are looking to cut down light exposure and ease headaches. A super tight fit is counterproductive to that end. Fix the fit and I could see these getting 5 stars.
