3 years in South Africa, work well enough
My wife and I used these for several years in South Africa. They do wear out after awhile, either shorting out or requiring you wiggle the US plug to get it to work. We just buy more as they break. Countries in the area use several types of outlets. This one is predominant in SA but you may also see types C or J. Bigger towns sell US adapters as do most tour operators.
