I'm very impressed with these pliers. The quality seems good and they definitely work well.

Best word I can think of is "solid". From the packing to holding the pliers in my hands, it just says this company (Boom) is proud of their products in that they are very well made, 100% metal - solid aluminum in the handle to keep the weight down and stainless steel jaws where it counts. I've never purchased "Booms" products before but I will be giving them a look for other tools. If this is at the lower end of their prices in fishing pliers, the more expensive stuff must only be usable by divine hands.

Bought 2 pairs for two boys just learning to kayak fish with me. Put it in their first, independently owned, tackle kit - a gift for Easter 2018. Thus, they don't need to come over and raft up with me to use my tools for re-rigging their lines. They can now operate fully on their own nearby instead. They each have their own color - preventing mix ups and squabbling. LOL. So far, rave reviews from them both - they are thrilled. I'll probably get my own pair soon. They come with the sheath and the lanyard. I will add a little line w/large bobber to the sheath and possibly attach to the lanyard. Even with fairly careful kids, things do go overboard easily enough when out on the water. (Like my keys or my cell phone). These are so nice, we will not want to loose them. The lanyard clip is great, it can be clipped to a PHD or the eyelets mounted on the boat. One comment I will add here.... I thought that with these I would not need to carry all of the 4 tools I rely on most. I had thought that these would cut it down to one. However, after getting them in hand I do see the cutting surface is small. As an older person, (using reading glasses now for heavens sake!) I might find it a bit annoying having to get line right on that surface to cut it. So far no complaints from the 10 and 12 year old on this point. When I get my pair for my own tackle bag I will keep the tiny sharp craft scissors in there in case it's just more comfortable and easier to use for snipping line quickly. At any rate I'm still incredibly impressed with this tool - it's well made, machined smooth metal with a nice heft - sturdy - a quality feel for such an awesome price.

I bought these for my husband just to keep on the boat. He loves them! It comes with a carrying case that fits in his pocket so he can easily grab them. Great quality for the price! Lightweight but very heavy duty. Not cheaply made.

The pliers worked great in Alaska and handles the harsh treatment. The holster on the other hand just fell apart when I was just trying it on before the trip. Holster could be significantly improved.

These are durable pliers that will definitely do the job. The craftsmanship is nice and the weight is very light. I did find a sheath for the pliers making them comfortable on your side. I recommend these pliers for the quality and price!

Product came out very nice and nice to carry, it came with a case which I wasn’t aware of it having so that was a bonus, can’t wait to go use it in the waters, however when you pinch the pliers, it’s almost as if there might be a little bit of oil missing and it’s not opening and closing the way I thought, but it works perfectly fine, just not what I thought,

Exactly what I expected haven’t used in the salt yet but seem like a solid product all around.
