Great for porcelain tile
This is the only bit my guys want for tile stone and Porcelain . It is not as prone to walking when starting to drill and holds up well.

Fast and worth it
I had some Italian marble that I had to drill through. I anticipated the worse. Two holes took about ten seconds each with no smoke. The design also kept drill bit from drifting during first contact.

Great drill bit especially porcelain!
I have used this drill for many years now. I-owned professional tile and flooring company. I have been involved in hundreds of tile installations. This is the only bit that has stood up to drilling porcelain tiles. They are a bit pricey but see how many 5 and 10 tiles you will burn up in the process. Keep it wet and it will work for you . Buy one. You won’t regret it.

Great investment!
Other than a diamond core bit I have not found another bit that will drill Porcelain tile. Great investment, and I consider it an an investment since $34.00 for a single drill bit puts it into that category for me. One reviewer mentioned drilling 12 holes in 10 minutes. I took a different route and drilled 6 holes in about 20 minutes. I had a cup of ice water that I would occasionally dip the bit in during the process. Using a cordless drill running at an estimated 100 to 200 RPM I drilled each hole using an orbital motion with the drill and significant pressure. There does not appear to be any significant wear to the cutting edges of the bit so far. I found that using the bit dry worked better for me. Thus, after cooling I would dry it before resuming.

PTC bit review
This product is exactly the answer to a problem that has come up many, many times since porcelain tile started to become so popular in the residential market. I have tried a multitude of different bits for this process, some of them I've ordered and paid $50.00 or more for, all with the same success (almost zero#. I used this bit to drill 12 holes in porcelain tile on a vertical surface #shower). I not only drilled the holes but poured water on the bit with a plant watering container with an extended spout by myself and all 12 holes were drilled in 10 minutes! The holes were clean and chip free. This bit is a MUST HAVE! if you are a tile setter and may have to install handicap grab bars in a shower or privacy stalls in a restroom or door stops in a floor, anywhere you have to drill a precision hole in porcelain tile. I give this product an A+

not worth the money
Bought this a few months ago. I am a glass shower door installer and was just looking for something extra durable and longer lasting for drilling hard porcelain. The hope was that a thick durable drill bit that costs $34!!!!!! for a single bit will meet these expectations. However it did not, a $7 bit from a local Lowes store does a better job. Although this is a great bit for marble and ceramic tile I would not recommend if you are looking to drill very many holes in porcelain tile. This thing lasted me a few holes with cooling it off in water on low speed drill.

Works as advertised
I decided to DIY my bathroom remodel which is the first time doing anything like this. The porcelain I used on my shower stall and floors was eating 1/4 inch diamond dust hole bits before even getting completely through the tile. The diamond dust bits are half the price of this bit but this bit put four holes exactly where I needed them in record speed. I wish I knew about this bit before wasting money on the other bits. 4 holes drilled and the bit barely looks like it was used. I don't usually write reviews but this bit is the bit every big box DIY store should be carrying instead of those other bits. Buy this bit and use a stream of water on the bit/hole while drilling and you'll be very happy you purchased this bit.

Good bit but confused picture
I don't write a lot on product because english it's my first language. I'm bying different stuff from Amazon and ebay for 5 years now and what I don't like is confused information. This is one of the top tile bit I know. They are very tuff, precised and fast. But the add show a pack of 4 bits. It's supposed to be 4 different bits has you can see. And the price is for just one bit, not one pack of 4. And the shipping cost is $10.76. It is good for one bit to whatever. It a flat fee. So for people who look picture like me, who was thinking that it is the top deal in the market, wrong answer. You can purchase those bit from a good warehouse near you who are specialised in professional product for ceramic installer for at least the same price or lower.
