Excellent product
We purchased the original of the two of these canopies (on the right) several years ago and have been pleased enough with it to purchase a second for the other side of our deck. The pictures show the canopies both open and closed up (which we are assiduous about when they're not in use, including tying it closed, to prevent damage, and which we take down completely in winter.) Assembly took me (with help from my husband during the final assembly stages) the entirety of an afternoon. My advice is to read the directions and STUDY THE ILLUSTRATIONS THOROUGHLY, as well as matching the components to the illustrations (as there are subtle differences between otherwise identical looking pieces) BEFORE beginning assembly. Though time consuming it wasn't difficult - - but if you confuse certain pieces you'll waste time disassembling to correct your mistakes.(We made a few "after market" additions by adding curtain brackets to the structure and using electrical conduit piping for rods to hang outdoor curtains. Our yard faces west, so there comes a point in the late afternoon where the sun shines under the canopy. Being able to close those curtains is clutch. We also added the half cinder blocks around each leg before screwing the feet on -even on very windy days when the canopy itself has flapped about alarmingly, the structure remains firmly on the deck.)I have only 2 "complaints": one is that the fabric canopy is not replaceable. On our original, the fabric is definitely showing wear, while the metal structure still looks new. The second is more a concern than a complaint: the rings that the canopy hang from are plastic. I was certain they'd have broken already. That they haven't is probably because of the frequency with which we use it (not daily), the fact that we ALWAYS close it up, and that we take the fabric part down in winter. If you're not as diligent you'll probably have to replace them eventually. All in all, an exceptional purchase for the price.

Kinda flimsy
I love it but assembling it was not a good time. It was so flimsy and we were breaking the thin metal at the top just trying to hold it together. It won't be something you can put up and take down but 1 time. It's a one and done gazebo. Mines up and it will stay there until it's windy then it will be either in another county or in the scrap pile.

Overall, great value for the money.
Not too difficult to assemble but easier in two. The canvas top slides easily and you can sit in the shade while keeping the other half open. Seems sturdy but if you have it on the ground the stakes are probaly not good enough to secure it. I put it on the deck and secured with sand filled bags. You will need bags with Velcro straps to wrap around thelegs. I plan to leave it up year around by wrapping a tarp over the closed canvas too. Good value for the money, but it will not withstand a big storm without being secured to the ground or deck.

Bad product from start to finish, even when the box was first opened
The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was that some of the beams were already rusted. Apparently whatever protective anti-rust coating they used was only applied on the exterior of the pergola's frame but not the interior, so it was already rusted on arrival and throughout the very short life of the pergola (less than a year) it rusted further even with repeated anti-rust treatments (since they're difficult to apply inside the frame).Installation was a complete and total nightmare. There are only four steps in the instructions, so there is a lot of confusion as to which parts are which and the order in which things should be done. Many mistakes were made before they were rectified - these mistakes could have been avoided if the instructions were clearer. The provided anchors are a complete and total joke - they are metal pins that have no hope of anchoring down the structure and would break very easily; this structure demands concrete screws ("topcons") and we had to buy them separately.Because the beams that support the canvas don't have smooth endcaps, they frequently tore the canvas over time due to wind and the beams ejected outward, nearly hitting vehicles in the parking lot on more than one occasion. We frequently had to sew these holes together with very thick thread - thicker and stronger than the canvas itself - but new holes would form elsewhere. Eventually the canvas itself ripped entirely from the middle (not from the ends of the beams). In less than a year after purchase, we now have a badly rusted frame with no canvas. We will try to contact the manufacturer to see if we can get a replacement canvas as a short term solution until we replace the entire thing, which was a horrible purchase from start to finish. We very much regret this purchase.

something to think about.....
its on the cheap side .. the bug net on top isn't even attached to the canvas roof.. when I received it one of the arrow was broken on one of the corners.. and the arrow on the top of the tent doesn't even screw into the top to secure the bug net.. but like they say you get what you pay for.. but other than that its a very nice looking gazebo.

Very nice shelter
It went together very easily, follow instructions and pictures. It says it takes 3 to build, but only takes 2. It goes faster with more, but not needed. It comes with it's own tools to build it, but my husband has a wide array of power tools, so he used those instead. It is better than the original one I bought 3 years ago and better constructed. It was shipped very quickly and I appreciate that.
