I have to mention the Closet Maid Organizer is designed for closets 5-to-8 feet, the closet I was installing it in is less than 5 feet, so it took longer to install it. Instead of a couple of hours, it took me about five or six hours, which is no fault of the product, and I new it would probably take me longer because of the extra measuring and fitting and cutting. Other than that the organizer is an excellent product, it increased the capacity of the closet by about four times the usable space it had before. And despite the fact it took longer to install it was still very easy. Over all the Closet Maid Organizer is a great bargain, I plan to purchase another one for my son's room. I purchased 2 of these one for a 5 ft closet and one for a 6ft closet. It was easy to install, but one of the boxes had a hole and was missing a pole. Lucky our local home Depot sells extra parts. It fit really well in our 6 ft closet but I had to go to home Depot and get diffent poles with more height choices for the 5 ft closet. It fit well in the 5ft wide closet but if you use the poles that come with the set you don't have enought room to hang adult size clothes. It is perfect for child clothing though. Overall very durable and fairly easy to install, just make sure you use a level!

I made the mistake of ordering this as a "Used-Like New" item. After I spent an hour pulling everything out of my closet, I opened the box to lay everything out and begin installing it. That's when I discovered that despite the "Inspected by Amazon" sticker, there were several things missing from the kit, including one of the 3 main shelves, a bunch of mounting brackets, and the instructions. I. Was. Pissed!! So I immediately printed a return label. But I still needed to do something about my closet, and fast. So I re-ordered it but as a brand new kit. When it arrived, I opened the box to take inventory, happy to see everything was there. Then, I set about reading the instructions a couple times, making sure I knew what I needed to do, had the tools I needed to do it, and that I could do it all by myself. My dad was a phone call away, but I wanted to do it on my own. And it came out exactly as I hoped. So I'm not sure why other reviewers complained that it was difficult, even impossible, to install. I even had to change the height spacing of one shelf to have enough room to hang long blouses. All I had to do was re-measure the bracket spacings on the wall and drill a small hole in one of the poles. No biggie. Now my closet is gorgeous! (Yes, I did paint the back wall a bright turquoise and stenciled in a small cluster of silver stars. Because I could.) My dad stopped by the next day, and took a look. He was impressed by how sturdy, level, and roomy it all turned out. In fact he said, "Don't let your mom see this, or I'm going to have to put one up in her closet next." So, if you need to overhaul your closet, I would suggest buying a new kit - NOT USED! - and make sure everything that's supposed to be in the box, is. If you can, take your closet doors off. Read and re-read the instructions, gather the necessary tools, and take your time. It's not rocket science. Oh, and yes, you can modify/customize this to have the double shelves on either the left or right side of your closet. Or even buy 2 kits and really go crazy. I added another shelf that I purchased separately, and still only used one of the poles, instead of two. It's just as sturdy and suits my needs better.

Since this day is bust I decided I should write this review and warn those thinking of buying this. First, the instructions included with this kit are wrong on page 1. The wall clips and anchors included with this kit are not for drywall, they are for concrete. The cover page shows a concrete anchor (13) clip (6) and a nail (12) while the note below the illustration says "Hardware included for installation into drywall or plaster 1/2" to 5/8" thick. ...) The instructions are so poorly written that they support my assertion on page 4 where they describe the wall clip (a) as the proper wall clip and anchor and item (c) on page 4 shows the illustrated anchor and clip in profile on the cover page. I was a carpenter for many years, and in retirement I am Mr. Fixit around the house, so trust me when I tell you do not install these anchors. They are expanding anchors the nails provided are like little wedges that expand the anchor so they keep a grip on the concrete. If you install these in sheet rock they will not hold for long and will seriously compromise the structural integrity of the drywall. Unfortunately I took a quick inventory not thoroughly examining the contents of the kit till after cutting everything to size and laying out and drilling holes. So I had to cut the stems off the wall clips and buy some drywall anchors to fasten them appropriately for an additional $20. So loss of time, and money, but there wasn't much I could do as this kit and more than likely all the others have been packed incorrectly. It is a shame because I have already installed a ClosetMaid system on the other side of the closet that uses the trackit system and not only did it come with drywall anchors, it came with concrete anchors as well as wood screws for the occasional wall stud or top plate. I had plenty of fasteners left over to do the end caps and the wall clips but only the end caps were machined properly for the drywall anchors, so I had to buy my own.

Relativamente es fácil de colocar , tiene un sistema de sujeción a la pared práctico y una vez todo armado adquiere una sólida robustez, solo hay que tener cuidado de los postes que van de frente para que no se pongan al revés a mi me paso y si eso pasa se pierde el nivel de las repisas ya colocadas y hay que volver a tomar todos los niveles.
