This came in exactly as expected, with all three pencil grips. They fit on standard size pencils and pens and allow my 5 year old to easily and comfortably hold pencils using the correct pencil grip. Without a grip, he usually ends up holding pencils with him pinky closest to the writing end of the pencil, and this grip helps him adjust so his pointer and thumb are the closest. Overall, this was worth what we paid and I’m happy with this purchase.

Got this for writing therapy after a nerve was damaged in my palm. Very comfortable for my adult hands to fit into and my niece was able to use them too! Perfect for adults and kids!

These were helpful when teaching my little one how to correctly hold her pencil. My only con was I couldn’t find any for the larger size pencil, that are introduced first. However, I stretched one onto a beginner’s pencil, and there it has remain.

I’ve been struggling trying to get my youngster to learn how to hold a pencil properly instead of holding it in his fist. This is definitely helping, although it’s taking time for him to get the hang of it. It’s not an overnight correction for all, but it does help with repeated practice. It definitely helps guide their fingers where they need to be, but they still need to adjust to it and gain the motor skills to control the pencil itself.

Didn't work as expected

My daughter wants to write but struggles with holding her pencil in a way that gives her good control. This trainer is perfect for her. She needs a little help remembering which fingers to put in it but that is improving with practice. The silicon is nice and squishy so it doesn’t irritate her fingers. I actually love this, too, because I learned to hold my pencil incorrectly and this helps me hold pencils more comfortably. It works great on standard #2 wooden pencils but it is more difficult to squeeze onto mechanical pencils and pens. But, with a little grit and determination, it can be done!

My son struggles with how to properly hold a pencil, pen, crayon, and so on. I wsd constantly re-directing him to hold it correctly so he could have more control when writing his numbers. This is so easy to slide on and it stays in place once it is on. Then I just show him which fingers go where and then have him write. When you put your fingers in it comes up quite a bit on the finger so it doesn't slide off your fingers or you lose your grip when you write. My son is just starting to learn to write and this has been really helpful to teach him how to hold the pencil.

These grips are perfect for 2 and 3 year olds learning to write or older children who struggle with holding a pencil properly.
