Overpriced
It smells nice, but is very expensive and was in a very small container. Many other products that smell nice and cost much less.

I love scented moisturizer!
I was actually able to smell the patchouli when I took the lid off! And once again about half way through! As a moisturizer it’s lovely & whipped like a butter!

Great product and very little of it.
Very surprised at how teensy the jar was. Will not repurchase for that reason.

I wanted to love it
I've been wanting this product for a LONG time. I finally got the $37.95 to buy it. I wanted to buy it from Evan Healy directly, but their shipping to AK simply costs too much for me. Although I definitely wanted it to smell like patchouli, I wanted it to be delicate. The scent hit me before I even opened the box despite the fact it was wrapped in bubble wrap. It's really very earthy and dank, not even like too strong patchouli that you smell on someone else, it was even less pleasant. It smelled like a root cellar where something might also be rotting. I couldn't smell the vanilla at all. Perhaps I'm not accustomed to shea butter, but I was shocked that the product was solid and grainy. I imagined it as a rich cream. Even though I planned to use it on my body, I was surprised that it was billed as a face balm. It is WAY too greasy to put on my face. To add insult to injury, the product only filled the jar half way. I have no idea if it weighed 1.9 oz or not as advertised, but it certainly didn't look like a good value for my nearly $38. I don't blame the seller for this, it is what it is. If I would have ordered from Evan Healy, I would be asking for a refund. I should have done more research I guess.

Very strong patchouli smell...
I bought the other version of this, the Evan Healy Shea Butter with Olive Leave and rated it 5 stars. This version is just as good at moisturizing my face in our super dry and cold winter climate, but has very little hint of vanilla (which I was really hoping for) and is pretty strong, ok really strong, in the patchouli department. It's not super offensive, but in all honesty it is pretty strong, and I guess I thought it would be much more vanilla smelling than it actually turned out to be.This is going to be a matter of personal preference, but for me, I wish this was mush less strong in the patchouli department and far more vanilla fragrant and it would have rated 5 stars, because the moisturizing qualities are truly outstanding.

AWESOME PRODUCT!!!
My wife uses this and she LOVES it! Wife's review: I am very picky about products, am in my 50's, and have had freckles all my life. Recently I started washing my face with Organic coconut oil, then using only this Whipped Patchouli and the Rose Day cream. Oddly, my freckles and kind of age spots really seem to have faded - so much so people have even commented…? YES I highly recommend this product and also love the fact it is "clean" and helps support women. I would give 10 stars if I could! Give up everything else and go with this simple regime and see how it works for you. Oh, FYI - I have sensitive/dry/combination skin if that helps anyone too.

Old-fashioned patchouli scent
When I smelled the jar, I was disappointed in the faintness of the perfume; it developed on the body, though, and is already, on the first day, my new favorite. This is the patchouli scent I love: a slight duskiness around the edges, instead of the clean innocence of modern patchouli soaps and perfumes. Evan Healy seems to do old-fashioned: heavy creams and oils, darker scents...But that's what I like. The cream is very moisturizing, by the way. I highly recommend (but give it 20 minutes to soak in), and will continue to use. Now, to see if Evan Healy makes a patchouli soap to go with the cream!

serums and hydro souls to adjust to the amount of moisture I need and it works great as an overnight cream and mask
This shea butter works well for those dry patches on my face and I use it on my neck and other patches on my skin. It combines well with the fluid moisturizer, serums and hydro souls to adjust to the amount of moisture I need and it works great as an overnight cream and mask, especially during the winter or dry times. I like the musky smell and it's a handy item to take when I travel because it can be used as a mask, intense moisturizer, lip balm, body cream and even to remove make-up. The scent works for me too.
