I bought this "like new" to use for cold process soap-making. But before I got round to that, I found myself in need of an immersion blender while cooking and used this one. It's not gone back in the soap-making kit. It is powerful and very handy for all sorts of blending tasks. It had a good weight to it and feels well-built.I use the chopper unit quite often for sauces and salsas, it feels a bit flimsy but it's fine for occasional use. The whisk option is gentler than my hand blender which I like, although I really can't tell the difference between the most powerful and lowest setting on this blender, maybe that's why mine was secondhand, a faulty power dial or resistor?My main con is how short the extension lead is, it limits my socket choice to an inconvenient location in the kitchen. All parts are very easy to clean and for half price, I feel I have a bargain. Not sure I would pay full price though, I might go for a more premium brand without the extras.

I bought a "used—very good" one, and while it came with a broken piece I could not use, the part and function I needed specifically in this blender worked perfectly. I love it. I used it to mix protein shakes in the provided cup, and it introduces no air and quickly blends and smooths anything I put in the cup. Did I mention I love this?

After reading many of the reviews and much internal debate as to whether I really needed a new immersion blender, I went ahead and treated myself. And am so glad I did! This model replaced a 20+ year old Braun immersion blender and it is such an updgrade. Not only are there no more splatters all over my cooking/worksurface, this little beauty actually blends up vegetables completely, so I no longer have chunky soup when I want smooth soup. I was a bit skeptical of the multiple speed levels (21?) but am completely in love with them now as I have total control over the texture of whatever I'm blending. I had gotten to the point where I stopped making soups that required immersion blending because my older Braun made such a mess for not very good results. This new model has changed my mood in the kitchen and is definitely worth the price.
