Works great
1st time using this today and the sound is crystal clear. This is the first time I've used a headset like this. And no issues plugging in and going. I'm now looking for an "extension" cord for this. The cord coil is tight and I had to pull the phone over closer than normal to keep it from pulling on me. But an extension cord of some sort should help that out, starting to look for one now. But this is a great little unit. The mic moves as needed easily and again the sound was so clear. Great item.

Works Great with Polycom
I was very skeptical at first about this being $14.99. I figured that I could always return it if I didn't like it. I received it and plugged it into my Polycom Desk Phone, and it works wonders! I can hear crystal clear, and so can the caller on the other line. Very lightweight and comfortable to wear. It's AWESOME! My co-worker noticed that I had one, so I let her try it, and 2 minutes later, I was back on Amazon purchasing another one or her. LOL.If you're looking for a great headset for your Business Desk Phones, this product will do you good, and so will the price!

Cheaap is cheap!
My father always said, when you buy good you buy once but when you buy cheap you buy often, and waste time and money. And there is always "you get what you pay for". Trying to save money these days means wasting money and time on secong rate products. The days of "Made in America" are gone. This product has a seperate unit that is supose to be for improving sound quality and volume. It does nothing except to give a lot of static sound, and cut your connection. You can only hear on 2 of the levels and not that oud. It is an annoyance at best. I have no choice but to return it. It isn't that it is that bad, but rather, it isn't that good. This is something that should be selling for $1.99 at the $.99 store, if yoiu ask me. I can barley hear what the other party is saying and that is not what I am paying for.

I bought several of these for my office because we recently bought new ShoreTel phones which have a port for a headset. They work very well despite being so inexpensive. The sound quality is good and is comparable to the handset that comes with the phone. The design is basic, and the materials are probably the cheapest available, but that also makes them very light weight. The cord is long enough to use in standard desk layouts, which the phone on the corner of a desk. The ear pad is a synthetic material but is very soft and dosen't seem to cause ear lobe fatigue prematurely. Of the dozen or so I ordered, I believe we have only had one failure, which was a user error, not a material or craftsmanship error. The user closed a metal desk drawer on a cable and cut it. Perhaps the best testimony for the value of these headsets is that we placed a second order.

Finally, a "normal" phone headset for old-school "unplugged" phones, no special plugs needed!
This headset is great because it fits a regular, low tech, landline phone. I'd been looking for a headset I could use with my old landline telephone I bought around 1990. The phone doesn't have a headset jack but it works fine, so I didn't want to buy a new phone. I finally found this headset which doesn't need a special connector. Most headsets need a 2.5 or 3.5 built-in connector on your phone, and the converters available appears to be only for certain brands of phone. This headset uses a standard old-fashioned handset cord (technically known as Rj9/RJ10/RJ22 or 4P4C, but you probably know it as the curly cord that connects the handset to the base of your phone). The handset is the barbell-shaped piece that you pick up and hold to your ear. To use this headset, just remove the handset from your phone by unplugging the curly cord, and plug in this headset where the handset used to be: No special connectors are needed. This is a "basic" headset with no special features but for the price it is a very good deal. It comes in two pieces. A metal piece that curves over your head, to hold the earpiece in place, and the actual earpiece with cords attached. The metal piece snaps onto a plastic peg on the earpiece (again, with no special connectors needed, just snap it into place). If you are looking for a headset for a "normal" old phone without a headset jack, this one may work for you.P.S. - I wrote this review for using the headset with my old Sony home phone, circa 1990. I tried the headset on my Avaya work phone after I had 2 separate Plantronics headsets stop working; it doesn't work on the Avaya because you can hear fine but not talk (the other person can't hear you). I am still using the headset with my home phone and like it very well for that purpose.P.P.S. - It has been brought to my attention that this headset is for old-school, "unplugged," unamplified phones. (That is the kind of phone I have, so all is well.)

Love the sound, hate the size.
The product works nicely with my work desk phone. The problem is that the headset will not close down small enough to fit properly on non-headset side. I have almost a size 8 head and the part that should fit just over my ear is sitting on my ear and it hurts. I had to make a soft cushion to cover the hard plastic. If they would just make it smaller, it would fit perfectly. I cannot imagine one person that it can comfortably fit as it is way too large even when set to smallest size.
