Looks very well-made.
After purchasing a rotary hammer drill I realize that the only thing that it will except is SDS bits and since it is a very nice and powerful drill also, I decided to get this chuck so that I could use it for other things search such as mixing mortar etc. The chuck slipped into the hammer drill perfectly and it seems to be very well-made. Unfortunately I have not used it yet but if it turns out to be less than I expected I will edit this review. So far I am very happy with the purchase.

Dont do it
Used this chuck, with my hammer drill, to drill holes in concrete for concrete screws. After the 2nd hole the screw inside the chuck came loose. Tightened screw back up (very easily stripped out screw head, without much effort) and on the 4th hole the back of the chuck that's attached to the spline, that switches the chuck to grip or release, came loose (still attached, but has a 1/8" gap.) The chuck itself is heavy, but not made very well to use with a hammer drill. Would not recommend this product to be used in hammer/drill mode.

Using with hammer drill.
Well I think this is great have used at least 20 x's so far. I use it with a rotary hammer drill to chip concrete. I had ran across review that said it falls to pieces when used that way. Me I think no kidding Sherlock you vibrating the Crxp out of it. So with a fix in mind I ordered it. Guess what works fine with my fix. wait for it just wait. ok, heres the fix.a Think strip of Duct tap around it once tightened down. But some of you are think well that defeat the purpose of a quick change. Guess what didn't by it for quick change if thats the case go spend big bucks for a high quality well tested product. Remember you get what you pay for and you may need to be a miracle worker as well.

Nice to have
This is a good thing to have but the first one broke the very first time I used it. They send me a new one the next day.

Good. Keyless chuck that holds like concrete.
Strong, comfortable to use. Very good for the SDS Plus Hammer Drill. I can use all my drill bits without problems. The quality looks good. I tested with wood bits and performed well. I want to order a second one soon. just remember to set the "drill only" function in the SDS drill or you will ruin your drill. every time before you gonna use that adapter in the SDS Drill, check that button...

Low usage item, not a PRO item.
Cheaply made. I’ve used this for probably 12 times over the last 12 months and today it failed . The back of the collet disconnected from the assembly and the release failed to release the bit. Had to use vice grips to recover the bit. Probably ok if seldom using.

Got about 2 hours before it fell apart
Worked fine until it fell apart. Got about 2 -3 hours of hammer drilling with earth auger before the chuck fell apart. Oh well!

Hasn't broke on me yet
I've only used this a couple of times, but it seems pretty strong. I love that I can use this on my RYOBI Sds+ Rotary Hammer Drill, now I can fit normal drill bits on it. I plan on using it to mix thinset so I don't have to worry about burning out my lithium battery drills.

Not durable. Very flimsy and broken after using it just once.

Great adapter [*when used as intended]...
The media could not be loaded. A great little adapter that turns your SDS plus hammer/rotary drill into a regular drill/driver.The one thing to be aware of and keep in mind is that this is only meant to used in ROTARY ONLY mode. Any hammering action whatsoever will almost certainly damage, and/or cause it to fall apart, likely destroying it completely in the process (as evidenced in the bad reviews in which it was misused in this way). However, if used as intended it works great. Securing bits is easy, you just twist/turn to open the jaws the desired amount, insert the bit, then just twist/turn it in the other direction to close them and lock the bit in place. You can actually feel/hear a click when it locks letting you know when you can stop.I drove a screw into a board just to show it in action (see video), but I've been using it any time I need to drill a hole or drive a screw since my cordless hammer drill [*in ROTARY ONLY mode] has replaced my old corded drill as my go to drill/driver because of it.
