Q: did anyone have success covering grays with this?

OMG! YES! I have probably 65% gray hair, am 70 years old. This product completely covers my gray for 4 weeks at least and then it starts to fade. Looks very natural as it fades those last 2 weeks and then I color it again. I bought about 8 boxes of this so you know I love it. Was told it's being taken off the market. So I bought all I could on Amazon. So glad I found it. Target no longer carries it and I could not find it at Walmart.

Q: Does age defy washout is 6 to 8 weeks.

I color my hair with Clairol Age Defy Expert Collection every 5-6 weeks. It doesn't wash out but within that time frame, it does fade, so that is when I do a root touch-up.

Q: Is the activating creme when mixed supposed to be orange?

Yes, it looks orange, but the color looks very good (I use light brown) and it is consistent. I've used it many times. I just buy it at Target, though. The one that came through Amazon had the wrong product, and some of it was used. They refunded my money, but I would just buy it at the store. It does color over the grey/silver very well, too.

Q: Is this product deposit only color or will it lighten one shade? Will it make hair all one shade or does it allow for dimensional color?

Deposit did lighten a tad bit some dimensions
