Connection to camera induces a lot of crackle when turned
I got this to connect to my various Sony cameras via a Tascam 70D. The cable connectors are quite cheap looking plastic ones rather than the better quality ones in one of the photos. Cable seems to do as it claims and reduces hiss compared to a normal 3.5mm cable, however the main problem is the connection into the camera (and I have tried this with multiple cameras) after inserting the 3.5mm connector, any rotational movement i.e. turning or jiggling it creates a really noticeable crackling on the right hand audio channel like a bad connection. If it is not moved then not a problem, but even a slight brush against it causes a crackle so this doesn't inspire confidence when recording critical sound. So instead of removing the hassle of post recording syncing audio with video it has introduced a level of anxiety as if I monitor from the camera rather than the headphone splitter output I think the crackle is also being recorded on the 70D (which it isn't). I have a feeling it is down to the cheap sealed 3.5mm connector that goes into the camera when an individually soldered quality connector would not be so prone to this problem.
