Great Heater!
Excellent heater! I got one a week ago for an office, and I got a second one for another office. I like the dual high/low settings for power, as low works just fine for my applications, but nice to know I can optionally use it on high. I plan to use it to cut down on gas usage to not heat the entire building, where only two rooms actually need any type of heat, but the rest of the building can be in the low to mid 60F. The size is large, but I like that because it provides even heat distribution, especially on low. They do make a 60hz hum, but unless you are in a dead quiet room, you really don't hear it. I also like that there is no fan. Overall, it's a great unit.

This heater is great. I've had it a couple weeks
This heater is great. I've had it a couple weeks, but I wanted to give the weather some time to get colder and have a chance to see how well the heater would really perform in the space in which it is being used--a garage converted to a real estate office converted into an apartment, so insulation isn't great and it's about a 250-275 sq. ft. space. The heater has two settings, min and max, then a second thermostat knob with settings 1-6, and another setting on the aforementioned knob that keeps a space above 40 degrees, then shuts itself off. Most of the time I've had the unit, it's been about 30 to 35 degrees outside and I've been able to keep the heater on it's min setting with the second control knob set to 2. Last night, the temps were the lowest of the season thus far, and about as cold as it will get here, at 16 degrees. I did have to use the max setting at 3 to keep the space warm, but it does feel comfortable in here (about 68 or so if I were to guess).I consider the above paragraph to be the most important part of the review, since it concerns the primary function of a heater--to provide heat!--but there are a few other things to mention about this unit as well. There is no blower, so this heater is quiet. I was worried that it wouldn't quickly heat a space without a blower, but the first time I turned it on I could feel a difference within an hour or so. With a Lasko ceramic heater I had, I could feel the heat instantly, due to the blower, but it still took about the same amount of time to make a dramatic difference in the temperature of the room, and the blower dried out the air a lot, not to mention on colder nights the Lasko couldn't manage to raise the temperature above about 56 degrees on its highest setting. There was a bit of noise when I first turned the panel heater on, and again last night when I turned the knob to max, but only for a few seconds and it really isn't worth mentioning. It is about the same sound as some furnaces make and about as loud as a kerosene heater when kerosene empties from the reservoir every now and then.I saw at least one review that claimed the heater got very hot, at least in his or her particular experience with their particular unit. My heater does get fairly warm to the touch on the front, and stays pretty cool on the back. I don't have mine mounted on a wall, but I would feel comfortable doing so, and the mounting bracket and spacers at the bottom of the heater keep the unit from sitting completely flush with the wall. There would be around a half inch to three quarters of an inch of space between the back of the heater and the wall. The only other thing I can think of is that set up was as simple as pulling the heater from the box (it was well wrapped), installing the feet/rollers and plugging it in. The feet went on easily enough with the tightening of two thumb screws for each. It stands sturdy and rolls well, even on carpet. It would be nice to have some digital controls so you can just set a temperature and the heater does whatever it has to do to get the room up to that point, although I guess it would not work so well since it would likely shut off before the heat had a chance to distribute evenly throughout a room. Overall I am very pleased with the heater, especially for the price; my budget for a heater was $200, so I was very surprised to find something that met my needs for less than half that.

Love this heater! Year after year!
Update: We are going on our 5th winter with this heater and it's still working great! Best money ever spent on a heater! Before buying this heater I went and did a LOT of looking for heaters.. I spent about a month reading reviews and looking at different products. In the end I settled on this one. There were a lot of reasons why I picked this over 100's of others but here are the big ones:1. Cost - This price is not overly crazy high. So many heaters seemed to be well over the 100$ range and this one was under that when we got it.2. I wanted a NO fan heater. Heaters with fans can be SO drying of the air in the room! With 3 of the 4 members of my household having Asthma we needed the air to not be too dry.3. The heating settings! With the 600 wat and 1200 wat it seemed like a very cost effective way to heat the living room. Now I want to make it clear that I was blown away with just how well this heater worked for us so far. We live in a 2 bedroom small apartment (800sf). We have old electric base board heating and each unit using about 1200wats an hour. There are 3 in the living room alone.. The cost to run the heating adds up FAST. From Nov-March we tend to have power bills that are from 200$-250$ each month from the extra heating bills. We received this heater on Nov 25 and have been using it as needed till now Feb 15th.Our heating bills have been:$58.02 for Nov (Note we did not need to use the heater but for a few hours at night for a few days that month)$113.18 Dec (We used the heater every day for a few hours - 4-6 a day)$126.03 Jan (We used the heater for the better part of the day daily. - 10-16 hours a day)I think the numbers speak for themselves!Keep in mind that we only need to use the heater in our home when it drops below 50F outside. We have a very easy to heat/cool apartment. But we do have a rather large window in our living room and sliding glass doors by the dinning room.I checked the temps daily to see how well it was heating the apartment. In the main room (living room) with the heater in it it stayed at around 63-66 depending on how cold it was outside. The temps this winter were VERY cold in Jan and we had a few weeks of 25-30F being our daily highs. Even then the heater kept the living room, dinning room and kitchen in the mid 60's.I should also add that we did use two smaller heaters both 600 wats in our bedrooms on the bitterly cold nights for a little extra heat. But when it was 40F+ We didn't really need them even to stay warm at night. Now we do also use common sense like wear a warm sweater and use thick heavy down blankets in the winter. Over all however we were more then happy with how the heater has done this far.I can't yet say if it will last to next year but I will update this review then if it does. Also wanted to note that the backside/sides of the heater stays relatively cool to the touch. I can see how mounting it on a wall would work really well. We however use it on the wheel base it came with. It seems fairly sturdy but we have not dropped it or knocked it over so no clue how well it could take a beating.I have 2 small boys age 2-4 and both have done just fine with it. I would think if you have pets or small kids one would want to keep a close eye on it. The heater panel does get VERY hot and would burn anything touching it. We keep it in front of our fireplace that is centered in the room. Also should be noted that even if it only lasts a year I would still buy a new one without batting an eye next year if the price was the same!
