EXCELLENT Unit-High Quality & Does The Job Right Every Time
The title really says it all-this device is, to me, essential for your automotive toolbox. It is compact, lightweight, and does the job without ANY problem. The device & accessories are very high quality with a substantial feel when you hold them in your hand. No cheap look or feel to any of it-neither the unit nor the cables/accessories. The clamps that hook up to the vehicle battery are extremely strong & solid. The charging cable is a 2-headed USB-C cable (both ends are USB-C). They make a wall adapter head that goes with it but you will need an adapter to convert the USB-C to USB-A (I did that & it works perfectly...you an find those adapter pieces right here on Amazon).NOCO even included a nice microfiber pouch for the unit to sit in so you don't have to keep it in the manufacturing box/packaging.Side note - NOCO does make a very nice $25 carry case for the unit-it is like a little suitcase-it holds the clamps in one side in a little pocket, and the other side is custom-cut to fit the device itself. I bought the carry case & I highly recommend it. You can keep the device in the microfiber pouch & sit in the case-it fits great; keeps it protected while storing it in my vehicle. So, as far as the unit's functionality & ability to do what it advertises - I bought it solely to jump dead batteries I don't care about the flashlight nor will I be using it to charge any other devices (although I will say the LED light on the end is pretty good & handy in a pinch if you don't have an actual flashlight on hand)...Jumping dead battery: I have a Dodge Charger RT+ ...it is a 5.7L V8 Hemi - I hadn't started it or driven it for a LONNNNNNNG time (drove only 50-100 miles a month but several months in a row it would sit in the garage un-used and this went on all year long) so even though the battery is in mint condition, nothing wrong with it-it understandably eventually died. [It's important to note that the battery died for only this reason-if you have an issue with a sub-par or malfunctioning battery, this unit may very well not be able to do anything for you, obviously.]I fully charged the GB50, hooked it up to my battery terminals, turned the unit on-as soon as the GB50 came on, the colored lights started flashing left to right, red to green, and the little white light below it was lit steadily, meaning that it was reading my battery & I can try starting it---as soon as I went in & tried it, my vehicle started IMMEDIATELY without any problems or hesitation of any kind. Once started, you simply go turn off the GB50, disconnect the clamps, and you are all set! That 1 use right there has, in my opinion, paid me back the $150 I spent on it & then some. DEFINITELY worth the money. The ease, the portability, and the quality are all above & beyond my expectations.I have only 2 tiny "complaints" - The cable with the battery clamps is extremely short-it can come unplugged from the GB50 unit if you don't have the unit aligned straight with the cables...so just be mindful of that. I had the unit sitting at a slight angle to the battery clamps and so the cable unplugged partially from the unit. But, again, this is a tiny issue and certainly wouldn't stop me from recommending it. I am sure you can get longer ones as well. NOCO has a bunch of accessories but I wish they would have made them 3-4 inches longer. The only other "issue" is that the charging cable for this model is the 2-headed USB-C (both ends are USB C) that i mentioned above, yet the NOCO wall adapter head that they recommend for it is a USB-A female connector. So just keep that in mind when you buy this. I have nowhere to plug in a USB-C head for charging so I needed the wall adapter. As I said earlier, it charges perfectly using the USB-C to USB-A adapter pieces.Lastly, I will mention that the unit itself was almost fully charged when I received it, so it did not take long to complete a full charge. It claims you can do 20+ jumps without having to re-charge the unit but I have NOT tested that claim-I have only used it 2 times and they were on separate dates & the unit was also fully charged prior to using it each time. However, based on how it performed for me, I see no reason why that claim would not hold up.Bottom line, this is a GREAT unit and I highly recommend it to all who are interested.

Solid unit. Zero issues & worth having handy.
TLDR; Worth the buy. Worked exactly as needed. Good tool to have on hand. "Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it."I had neglected to start up an 06 Infiniti sitting in the heat for a couple of weeks when the battery was already going bad. Don't judge! I bought a new car.So, since I always intended to own a portable jumper for times like this, having no cables & instead of bothering anyone with a jump, I pulled the trigger and bought one of these units. (12V 1500A)Getting to the point. Worth the buy. No problems upon use. I of course had to charge it completely which took somewhere between 4-6 hours.Upon hooking up to the battery ***it did take a minute or two for the car battery to "receive" the charge,*** but once it did, the unit started making a clicking sound, the power LED Indicators on the unit started cycling (which to me suggested the unit was officially feeding the car battery) - went to turn the key in the ignition and voila, car started up without skipping a beat.Remember folks, if a power cell has zero charge, it's not going to instantly come back to life when you hook it up to a jumper or other battery! Give it a couple of minutes at most, but any longer, it would be safe to assume the battery is totally dead especially if the unit is non-responsive when you hook it up.The unit itself is nice and compact. The box packaging is sturdy enough for you to regularly pack it back inside its box - if you're that sort of person, I am - but it does include a surprisingly NICE quality/material storage bag.The Jumper Cables are a tad short, but understandably for the purpose of being compact. I myself had no issues reaching my battery with them, but could pose an issue to those with a hard to reach battery. The dual LED illumination lights definitely supply you with some decent light, and would certainly be visible at night on the road or get you around your house in a power outage, but I would not recommend it be used as a primary light source. It also includes a USB port for you to connect a charger for your devices.I understand others have later reported that their unit died on them. I'll cross that bridge when I get there. Though, I would imagine as long as I don't keep it sitting on a charger, don't use it unnecessarily, and only recharge it if it actually becomes depleted - it should last.I recommend this product. 👌Thank you for reading!

A Lifesaver in a Compact Package!
I recently bought the NOCO Boost XL GB50, and it’s already saved me a couple of times. This little jump starter is super compact and easy to store in the trunk, yet it packs a serious punch. The first time I used it, my car battery was completely dead, and the GB50 brought it back to life in seconds. One of the things I love about it is how user-friendly it is. The instructions are straightforward, and the built-in safety features give me peace of mind that I won’t accidentally fry anything. Plus, the design is really sleek and sturdy – you can tell it’s built to last. It’s not just a jump starter either. The built-in flashlight is surprisingly bright and handy for nighttime emergencies, and the USB port is perfect for charging my phone on the go. I haven’t needed to use it for anything beyond jumping my car yet, but knowing I have those extra features is a nice bonus. The only minor downside is that it takes a bit of time to fully charge, but considering how long the charge lasts and how powerful it is, that’s a small price to pay. Overall, the NOCO Boost XL GB50 is a must-have for anyone who drives. It’s reliable, easy to use, and worth every penny.
