Deliciousness in a pretty box
It was interesting to read that this company was paying homage to Callard & Bowser Dessert Nougat. If you are of a certain age you will remember the slim blue box and the most perfect nougat wrapped in silvered paper. This nougat is pretty close to that and delivers a similar experience. Inside the stylish box with silver embossing you will find 12 precision cut and wrapped pieces of nougat in foiled paper. The pieces are quite small (probably half the size of the pieces by Sally Williams) but none-the-less just as delicious, perhaps a little firmer and drier in texture. There were plenty of pieces of cherry which made it quite sweet and a hint of rose flavour comes through toward the end (if you eat it slow enough to savour the taste). This nougat costs much more than I normally spend and for the amount you get and it takes enormous resolve not to eat the whole lot in one go!! I'd like to try all the other flavours but it would be as a special treat to myself rather than something to eat on a regular basis. Saying that, I think could do with a special treat now seeing that I probably won't be able to have a holiday this year. Umm, maybe!

Closest thing to Callard and Bowsers nougat I've tasted
I'm of the older generation and clearly remember Callard and Bowsers nougat. It was always a Christmas treat my father bought for me in it's blue box and silver wrapped nougat. I've been searching for it for years and came across Champion and Reeves. Wonderful taste, a little softer than Callard and bowser, and a little smaller. I can't fault the flavour or the ingrediants. However, at £14 for a small box or 12 nougats it's expensive. While I appreciate it's a high end product, it's still something I would only buy for Christmas.

Champion Nougat at a Champion Price
Eyewateringly expensive walk down memory lane. For those who remember Callard & Bowser’s Nougat with fondness and nostalgia, this is for you.Once you have cleared it with your bank manager, you are in for a treat. Contrary to what some opinionators assert, there is none better for quality.

Don't bother, cheaper, better and bigger available.
Unfortunately, it was not at all what I expected, so much smaller then I thought for the price. It was a christmas present for my mum, who adored callard and bowser, how they have the nerve to compare themselves to the same nougat is beyond me and in my opinion is false advertising.
