Broilmaster DPA111 Grids-Stainless Steel Rod No.3

I had been using the iron/steel with ceramic coating but had had to use grilling sheets after the coating cracked. These are stainless and best of all, I can just slide them in the dishwasher when they get more grody than the grill brush can take care of. Perfect fit on my grill and it looks like a permanent replacement.

These new grates arrived on time and in genuine Broilmaster packaging. They fit my grill perfectly and the stainless steel is heavy duty and shiny - just like the ones they replaced when they were new. The issue is that the two individual grates don't sit level with each other once in place, no matter what position I put them in. In the middle of the grill cooking surface there is between a 1/8" and 1/4" gap between the two grates. They fit snug in place, meaning they don't wobble like others have reported. But large pieces of meat (or pans like when I use a broiling pan to catch grease) will be tilted a small bit when I cook them. Not a disaster, but certainly this is an imperfection worthy mentioning, like others have reported. I was hoping this would have been addressed by now.Memo to the vendor who handled my order: Is this something you feel should be exchanged?

Previously, with the cast grids I did not seem to get the grilling I was after. Then the factory cast iron with porcelain girds started rusting, yuk! These grids don't rust, look great, and grill the food as it was meant to be grilled. The only other improvement at this time, would be a solid stainless burner, but they are not available :(So enjoy the improved grilling experience with these affordable grids that will last a lifetime! They are way lighter, and so much easier to clean! Great grill upgrade!

I needed to replace the rusted and disintegrating cast iron grates on my Broilmaster P3 gas grill. I was contemplating buying the replacement 3-piece cast stainless steel grates, but could not justify the cost of nearly $300! So, I let my "electrons do the walking" on "Amazon-dot-com" and found these. They looked good and the reviews were also good. So, I decided to give these a try and ordered a set from Hungry Piranha, via Amazon; using the included "standard" shipping and handling.My order came within a day and a half! From the ad, I didn't realize that I was actually getting genuine Broilmaster replacements either. That was another "surprise and delight" feature. Then, when I opened the box, the grates were found to be very heavy-duty and they fit my 1999-vintage grill perfectly. I also like the 2-piece design over the 3-piece. All in all, I am very satisfied.Since I am an engineer and skilled fabricator, I can tell you that I would have difficulty in making my own replacements, unless I got the material free. That's the alternative I was about to exercise, just prior to finding these. Kudos to Amazon and Hungry Piranha.

After reading several reviews about lack of quality and shoddy workmanship, I was hesitant to purchase. But I did anyway. I’ve inspected them closely and am pleased to report that these grates are of the highest quality. No loose or uneven welds. Smooth perfect finish. They fit perfectly in my 20+ year old grill. Far better than the original cast iron grates that lasted about two years. If you need to replace old worn grates, you probably can’t do better. I’m one happy guy right now.
