Brilliant pickups, great tone with real variation. Sound fantastic

RWRP middle pickup in positions 2 and 4 still leaves some hum in EMF-noisy environments vs actual humbuckers, even with shielding (large fluorescent lights, computers, TVs), but fine for 50-60hz hum. Not sure how this compares to other SSS sets so your call. Sound a bit dark compared to the stock set (lower gauss darkens sound) but sound better and still have plenty of highs. Really weak for high gain but can be managed with gates and compressors, really tasty for clean and low-mid gain.

I bought these to replace some stock pups on a Harley Benton Strat that were really good but wanted to try these out. I was taken aback by the quality of them, a nice "vintage" style tone with a tasteful crunch from them especially in the neck Pick up which is warm and round, switch to Position 4 and its glassy and nice, Position 2 is perfect for twangy country.These are great pick ups for giving a "cheap" strat a make over, they punch above their weight and can compete with Pups at the higher level of pricing.

Even though they ceramic they are just as good as tonerider blues set which is also ceramic! Put an orange drop compacitor on them through a valve amp and they will show you something amazing for a bargain price!! I dropped them in a 1980s Japanese fender Stratocaster and for blues and rock music!! They are amazing!! Well worth it!!

They may well sound ok, but I have yet to find out as the first impression out of the box is, why doesn't the pickup cover even fit the pickup!?The cover doesn't align with the pickup poles, so first thing I have to do is find a pickup cover that actually fits!

Really impressed with these for the price. sound great and easy to install and look really nice too!

These pickups are really good, you get a great sound from them. Excellent value for money.
