Recommend by a sales person at a petstore
My cat hikes. Yes, we go hiking a lot so she really needs protein a lot. A salesperson at a pet store recommend this one since there's no fillers such as potatoes. it's just mostly meat and my kitty goes nuts on every flavor! Very pricey but again, my cat hikes so we will stick with high quality food like this.

Healthy meat dinners
My elder fella has megacolon, so I try to feed him close to an all meat diet as possible. Although I'd never heard of Almo Nature brand, the ingredients were impressive. Meat, and just enough water for cooking. Sounded perfect. Dante is also a bit of a fussy boy. All of the varieties in the variety pack looked great. I've included pictures of each of the 4 varieties. However, none of them had much of a smell. Dante really goes by smell. Seems like the stinky ones he really loves. The only one I didn't have to coax him to eat was the Chicken and Cheese. All the others he turned his nose up at them until I bribed him with some freeze dried fish treats sprinkled on top. Once he started eating it though, he did like them. Except for the tuna recipe. That was weird. He usually loves tuna. He'd only it a portion of this though so I gave it to the other cats who loved it.This one is pretty pricey. I really like that it's all meat though, so I'll keep it in rotation for the days when Mr. D is feeling constipated. If you feed your cat a raw diet, this may be a good option for you to keep some on hand for emergencies or convenience. I was really impressed with the quality of the food.

ALL MEAT - NO FILLERS ... Great Adjunct To Your Kittie's Kibble!
The first thing people need to understand about this cat food is that it's all meat and whatever water needed to cook - and NO fillers - no grains, no thickeners, no vitamins, nothing. For me, I love it and so do my kitties. I have a cat who has skin issues and many grains seem to upset his system. He's getting older and is losing weight. This food is helping him to maintain weight easier as he can eat it easily and the lack of grains is better for his system.Because it doesn't have a ton of crap that many cats are used to, some may not like it. Especially if you allow them to pick and choose what they eat. If your cat initially refuses this I'd mix it with their other canned foods or kibble. I expect once they get used to the new kind of food, most will eat it readily. Finally - you shouldn't feed this on it's own. This is a great adjunct to a high quality kibble or canned food, or as a treat if your kitty loves it.The product comes from Thailand. Profits supposedly go to an organization that protects cats, dogs, and "the biodiversity" there. The meat is supposedly sourced from meat that was previously for human consumption.. It's worth reading their info so you know if you want to purchase to support this cause if that is something that you like to do.For now at least, my kitties love it... I love it as a treat for them.... and this is going to help a good cause. I call that a Win-Win! If anything changes I'll come back and update my review. Happy Shopping!

cat loved this and it looks to be real food
I was surprised that this cat food looked a lot like canned human food of the same sort (chicken, tuna). My cat loved this and begs for more after she eats up the first can. It doesn't smell like cat food either and each serving is well-portioned for one meal for a cat. I was happy with the simple, natural ingredients list, but I noted that there is no added taurine. However, it says on the can that this is not meant to be a cat's everyday food, but rather is intended as a supplement or occasional option. My cat would eat this everyday, but the lack of taurine means I will be using this mainly as an occasional treat. I think this is a good alternative for cat owners who want to give their cat real, human-style food on occasion, but don't want to go to the trouble of cooking it for their cats because it does seem to be canned human-style food without preservatives or added flavors.

Will work for some cats
We have a pack of six cats, each one of them a spoiled brat. Now their preference is for pate but we thought we would give shredded a whirl to see if they would take to it.Two out of the pack would eat this food. The rest of them would sniff it briefly then leave. So it was left for one of the two cats who did like it to wander around and eat all of the food left behind. We did take this food outside to feed a stray who wanders by every now and then and that cat will generally eat it.I think the point is that not all cats will take to this. They can be fussy wee devils but my recommendation is to see if you can find a single can of this in a store before you come on here and buy a multi pack. That's about the best advice I can give anyone .

The pickiest cat I know gobbles it
We've been working for more than a year with my boyfriend's elderly cat, and she's gone from skinny, bony and sort of threadbare looking to fluffy and healthy, though not fat. This food, however, is her definite favorite, every flavor. She ploughs into it like there's no tomorrow and eats almost a whole can in one sitting. It's not cheap, but it has something that catches the lackadaisical, picky cat by the appetite and gets her interested. I like the small cans, since she definitely prefers a freshly opened can to food that has been refrigerated and brought out later. If she ever finishes a can, I can always open another.

My Cat Loves This
Our cat really likes all of the flavors in this pack, and it seems to be a lot higher quality than other canned food that we've given her.It smells good when you open the can, and it almost seems good enough for people to eat.It is a bit pricy, but this is really good cat food.

Stinky Food Love
It stinks when you open the can, but it's the call of the wild for our boy. The gravy makes him happy and the shreds are easy for him to eat (missing teeth). He's happy; we're happy.
