Works 100%...it's amazing (updated after three uses)
I probably would never have tried this if it wasn't for the pandemic. I usually use regular box color, dark blonde, but it's out of stock everywhere near me. I guess hair dye is the new toilet paper. I tried this for no other reason than that it's a dark blonde and the bad reviews are not too bad. They mostly just say it didn't work, no one says they have green hair or anything. I thought it was easy to apply. The gel is dark and so you can really see where it's saturated right away. I left it on my roots for 20 minutes, then combed it through like the directions say, and left it for about 35 minutes. I washed it off- I am stunned. It looks great. I have about 35% gray hair, it's been going gray since I was about 23, and this dyed all my gray roots with a really deep color. I think it's better than normal box dye. I was also a big fan of the conditioner in the box, it was really high-quality. It melted into my hair immediately and there was almost nothing to rinse out. My hair is on the dry side and I'm a big user of conditioner and this melted right in. I honestly expected this to be useless and I tried it mostly because I was bored but I didn't think it would work. I think it's the best my hair has looked in years. I will rebuy and will also get the large bottle of the conditioner. UPDATE: I'm updating this review after three uses. First, I still really like it. I think it works as well/better than nice and easy but the color it gives is very natural. I would describe it as a honey or wheat blonde. I'm going to contend with some of the instructions. At one point it says not to saturate your hair and this is wrong. The more you saturate your hair the better it works. The second time I used it I really coated every hair and it made a big difference. The instructions also say that it stops working after a while so not to leave it on longer than the directions say. I don't think this is true. I've started leaving it on new growth probably an hour and 20 minutes and I think that's really optimal for the results I want and to completely dye the grey hair. Third, the description of this product says it doesn't lift/lighten your hair but it does. It's not several shades lighter, and I don't think you can get any type of platinum blonde with this but it does lighten my hair from an ashy blonde/cool light brown to a medium light honey blonde. So this is what I would say: best results, saturate your hair completely. I put tons on my new roots. Leave it on at least more than an hour. It does lighten your hair and it does cover grey completely and dye it permanently as long as you put enough on and leave it on a good while. The benefits of this product are that the color is really so natural, it looks gorgeous, it is healthier and smells way better than box color, it doesn't sting your skin, and it isn't damaging to hair. I'm going to keep using this as long as they make it. My hair looks like I spent $200 on it or that I naturally have the most gorgeous blonde. I didn't actually think my hair looked bad before but now that I see the difference it just looks so upscale compared to the box color I was using before.

I love this product!
I have been coloring my own hair for almost 30 years and used everything from cheap drugstore products to expensive salon grade products. Since I tried Naturcolor Haircolor Hair Dye, I no longer buy anything else. Things that I like about this product:: *The hair color looks natural. I have used Caraway, Manzanilla, and Saffron Blond. Neither looks yellowish. They look natural and when I first started using this product, many people asked me if I had gone back to my natural haircolor. *It is herbal based. I love that this product doesn't have a harsh chemical smell or irritate my scalp. *It is a permanent color. The color really lasts and my hair looks healthier than ever. *It is cruelty-free

Safe product and color looks natural
I have used this product for 20 years. I started using it because I was told there were no harsh chemicals or fumes when processing. There were only a few local quality health food stores selling this locally. Now no one carries it, so I'll need to be ordering from Amazon from now on. I use a mix of 8N Yarrow Blonde and 9N Sesame Blonde. The proportions vary. If I keep using more 9N than 8N, at some point I need to make it more 50-50. I leave it on for a full hour to process. My hairdresser who I see for haircuts only, admires the coloring, especially when I do more Sesame Blonde, and right before going in for a haircut. The other stylist come over to the chair to admire it. So I guess this means it's great! My only complaint is it fades within the first several shampoos, but then holds steady for the next several weeks. I color my hair every 4-6 weeks. My natural color when growing up was light brown, which everyone called blonde. I'm 70 and my natural color is leaning mostly toward while, not gray. This product does a good job of covering the white and blending well enough that when it fades I do not see an outgrowth line in the scalp.

Nice, natural looking shades, but.
After a few very disappointing salon visits and increasingly higher prices for mostly unsatisfactory services, I decided I could do it myself, and it was the best decision. I like Naturcolor hair dye because I haven't found a better one yet. If you find a better one, PLEASE let me know ;) What I like: 1. The colors come out very natural, not too dark, or almost black like other store-bought dyes. 2. My hair is shiny, soft, and looks healthy. 3. It doesn't stink, in fact, it doesn't have any strong, overpowering odor. 4. It doesn't sting, doesn't itch and the hair combs well after dyeing. 5. I can experiment with colors and mix them without fear. I have already tried four shades in different combinations and proportions and the final color is always satisfactory for me. 5. It's not very messy and applies well. Cons: 1. To ensure the color covers gray hair and adheres better, you need to wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo and no conditioner before dyeing. Combing my long hair without conditioner is a real nightmare. Not only does it take a long time, but a lot of hair falls out when combing :( 2. I have to leave it on for over an hour for the color to set properly, and unfortunately, the color washes out with every wash. After three weeks, I'm already seeing gray hair again and the color is lighter than at the beginning. 3. The formula is better than many but isn't perfect; it contains an ingredient we'd rather avoid, although, except for henna, almost every hair dye has that, plus other nasty chemicals... 4. After dyeing your hair, it is better to avoid clarifying shampoos and conditioners containing alcohol because the color fades even faster. It's not a perfect hair dye and I have some reservations about it, but I haven't found a better alternative yet.

This product works!
I have used this product successfully for over 20 years. Yes, 20 years I've been combatting gray hair, mostly around the crown and temples. My natural color is dark brown with hints of auburn. You MUST use the "N" series for gray coverage. I use two colors combined to replicate my natural color. By combining 5N and 6N I get a really beautiful color. They've also recommended mixing 6N with 5R for a nice color. I've done both options and liked both but I think the coverage lasts longer using both N colors, 5&6 N. The other critical mixing recipe must be equal parts of color and gel developer. You can play around mixing colors but they must equal the gel. Often I use the measurements of 20 6N with 10 of 5N which equals 30, then add 30 of the gel. This recipe makes 60 parts and it's enough to color my hair thoroughly, which is a shortish layered bob. I usually need to recolor at 30 days or so. If I let it go longer it does become brassy. For the people who say this doesn't work, I believe they are not choosing their colors well, you need "N" colors to cover the gray, or not using equal parts of color and gel, or not leaving it on for 45-60 minutes. I find 45 is good for my hair any longer and it comes out too dark. This product is safe and affordable and it works. I was paying $200 for a cut and color and even the professional color was fading and showing gray temples at two weeks! I've saved thousands of dollars over the past 20 years using this user friendly product. Good luck!

Don’t waste your time or money!
This is not worth your time or money. To give you some background: I have very dark, thick hair that i have been coloring for years because of grays. I have tried all different companies, but in recent years have made a switch to more natural products (I know this is not 100% natural, but henna didn’t cover my grays). I’ve been very happy with a brand that Ive been using for almost a year, but wanted to “go lighter” for the summer. Unfortunately, that brand does not offer a lighter brown, so I decided to give this brand a try. I am sorry I did. First: I received the package, and when I opened it, discovered a handwritten “B” inside the sealed box. This struck me as really strange & I worried that maybe it had been opened & resold, or something. I requested a replacement. Amazon sent it without a problem. Upon opening the “new” box, I discovered the same thing. As I looked at the contents, the labels appear to be printed at home - maybe a start up company..? This is on me for not investigating the company beforehand, so I decided to give it a try. Awful! I had to let it sit on my roots for 45 minutes, comb it through my hair, then let it sit another 20 minutes. I figured if I got the color I wanted, it would be fine. Unfortunately, not only is the color darker than advertised (similar to my original color), it didn’t even cover my roots. And, to add to that, it was so rough on my hair. When I rinsed the color out, my hair was destroyed. It’s hard to describe the texture, except for a matted straw-like mess. I know this can happen with hair colors but thought this would be less harsh since it’s supposed to be a more natural option (my other brand is not nearly this harsh, and colors my roots in less than half the time this required). I will stick to my original brand - this was awful!

Great hair color
As someone who prioritizes natural, safer alternatives for beauty and self-care, Naturcolor Haircolor in the shade Burdock stands out as a much healthier option compared to many conventional hair dyes. Here’s a breakdown of its performance, ingredients, and comparison with typical chemical-based brands: ⸻ Natural Ingredients: Naturcolor is formulated with a blend of plant-based ingredients and herbal extracts like burdock root, chamomile, and rosemary. It avoids common harsh chemicals found in conventional dyes, such as: • Ammonia • Resorcinol • Parabens • PPD (Paraphenylenediamine) This makes it ideal for people with sensitive scalps, allergies, or those trying to reduce their chemical exposure. Gentle on Hair and Scalp: Unlike mainstream brands that can leave your hair feeling brittle or cause scalp irritation, Naturcolor is much gentler. Post-dye, hair tends to feel soft and moisturized, not stripped or dry. Natural-Looking Color: The Burdock shade—a rich, medium brown—delivers a beautiful, natural tone without being too flat or artificial. It blends especially well with your natural color, and fades subtly over time rather than giving a harsh regrowth line. Eco-Friendly and Cruelty-Free: Another big plus is its ethical formulation—no animal testing and more environmentally conscious packaging compared to typical drugstore brands. Bottom line! I love it! I have been through many different brands of hair color and I have not found a natural one that I’ve liked as much as natur color

Used website to pick color; left my hair brassy orange/red
For context, I love Naturcolor and have used this brand for almost a decade, so I’m very familiar with their colors and am a return customer. I used the color customization tool on their website to choose specifically which shades I needed this time around to blend my natural dark neutral blonde hair with grow out highlights. The site suggested Dark Caraway Blonde 6C + Mullein Blonde 7N on the regrowth and 7N + Caraway Blonde 7C over the lighter highlights. Now before using this permanent hair color I filled my highlights with a semipermanent neutral dark blonde a week before, as recommended by a professional. It took about 45 min to evenly apply the color from root to end and I further processed for 25 min. The color of the products in the mixing wall looked great and applying. It also looked great. I was totally shocked to see how brassy red orange my roots and overall hair looked once I had washed and towel dried my hair. I’m so disappointed because now I will have to do a tone correction to get that orange glow out of my hair, which is a sharp contrast to my natural coloring and my natural hair growth. I don’t know what I could have done to cause this, especially since I consulted their website. I will go back to using Weller color charm just to be safe. It’s really too bad because this brand is really cool and the shampoo and conditioner is great.
