ROTEL Original Diced Tomatoes and Green Chilies, 10 oz.

I like to throw this in chili-- beats keeping fresh tomatoes and peppers around or chopping them up (spicy slop). The Rotel is tasty and delicious but hard to find in stores. Even if they have it I can't find it amongst all the other canned tomato products and ROTEL imitations. I can eat the Mild so most people can; I understand the HOT is a bit much for most folks.

Works well in the naughty crockpot cheese dip with some Velveeta cheese! I also sometimes add it to some other dishes, but it's yummy and makes for an easy appetizer.

I made some noodles and added this to the mix which made for a tasty quick meal. I like the chopped tomatoes with the spicy peppers, it was delicious and not too spicy. I usually buy frozen vegetables although they are too watery when I cook them and not as tasty as canned food. The fresh food tastes good too but it's higher priced for the amount I buy.

Great to cook with. Recipe calls for 1 Tbsp, I use a can. Great taste!

You know rot-tell people, just charge more and bring the can back to the original size. Has anyone thought about how much leftover waste cans increase in the landfill? One larger can at 24oz vs 4 8oz cans. Understand? Please don't say were want less portions, that's a lie, clearly. I would rather you be honest about increasing the price, than decreasing the portions. Most of the recipes are based on the old portions. Really screws things up.

What can I say it's Rotel. Add to chili, fish stew, anything you need some tomato and a bit of chili. Great for a quick pantry corn, black bean and 'salsa' dip. Regular is the only one I stock. Habanero too spicy for basic pantry stock and mild.... why?

This pre-mixed tomatoe is good for many recipes. One being Italian Bruschetta. Using a thin french style bread roll, cut it in half length wise. Hollow-out the center of the soft white bread making a small gully in the length of the bread. Mix 2/3rds of a cup of extra virgin olive oil, 1/3rd cup balsamic vinegar, 1/tablespoon chopped garlic, 1-level teaspoon salt, 1level -teaspoon black pepper, 1-tablespoon oregano, and about 20-25 freshly chopped basil leafs. Shake and mix well. Brush into the gully of the white of the bread. Put the bread in the broiler close to the heating coils. Toast the bread till the edges are burnt. Remove the bread let cool-off. Now, open a large can of RO-TEL chili tomatoe mix. Pour in to a a bowl. Then pour the rest of the olive oil and balsamic mix into the RO-TEL tomatoe and mix well. At this point you can spoon the mix into the gully of the bread. This is an old Italian appetizer served with Italian cheeses and cold/cuts with a nice glass of red wine.........
