Easy connector for garden hoses
The only thing more spoiled than our dogs is my wife. I rigged a shower head conversion to garden hose so my lazy dogs could have warm water baths outside. I'm a loser. The end was female, so I couldn't connect a soft sprayer. When I invested in a Aquapaw Pro Pet Grooming Sprayer and Scrubber (now I'm a double loser), I needed to flip the connector so0 I could use the spray head from the "wrong" side of the hose. This worked perfectly and didn't leak even when the output was stopped creating back pressure.Note: If you buy the Aquapaw Pro Pet Grooming Sprayer and Scrubber and want to connect it to the male end of the hose (normal) or shower head, you don't need an adapter. I cut an old shower sprayer hose, attached a size converter, and connected it to the male end of the hose. That's why I needed to flip the dog end connection.

Excess "flash" in thread area.
Had excess plastic ("flash") on lead in threads. I had to file off before it would attach to hose. Next time I'll go with brass adaptor at comparable price.
