This is the OEM timing belt/water pump kit. All parts were Aisin/Mitsubishi OEM parts. Our 2003 Acura TL has 174,000 miles and everything fit perfectly. Our coolant leak is gone! The tensioner is very strong, but thankfully slow to expand. Pull the pin quickly!!! We pulled it half out, it got stuck, and then the tensioner bent the pin. We had to pull out the tensioner, cut out the original pin, find a new, straight pin and re-do the installation. That is our fault. Just make sure to pull the pin QUICKLY and you should have no problem.

Second Aisin kit I’ve installed, only one I will use. Both kits I bought contained all authentic components. Big cost savings over buying parts from Honda, This kit has all the OEM stuff. Had a Gates kit I installed in my 08 Accord and after reading up on all the failure horror stories I removed it after 5000 miles installed this one. Second kit was installed in an 04 Pilot (pictured) Both installations went without a hitch and are fairly straightforward if you know what you are doing. If you don’t have mechanical ability do not mess with timing components. If any component of your timing system fails on the Honda 3.2/3.5 it’s time for big repairs. I also adjusted the valve clearances and installed new valve cover gaskets when changing the belt and water pump. I would not even think about installing anything else.

First of all, let me mention that this kit contains all items required to do the timing belt & water pump job on the 2003 Honda Odyssey, MINUS the collar on the adjuster pulley, which you'll have to reuse. Clean the collar well and use some moly/lithium lube between it and the bore of the adjuster arm. You'll also need medium threadlocker (blue Loctite) for the idler pulley bolt. Instructions are not included, so consult your shop manual.The installation of these parts was seamless, meaning they all fit correctly. The only installation complaint I had was the pin on the hydraulic tensioner was extremely difficult to remove - you could remove it first and use an allen key in its place. Probably you'll be able to pull it with pliers.As far as quality is concerned, it was reasonably good overall. The outside of the water pump casting was alot rougher than I'd expected, but the inside was clean as a whistle. I thought there might have been a slight bow to the housing which went away upon torquing the pump down (and no leaks so far) which I was also not expecting. There is also a sharp edge on the pump pulley, so be careful when installing the timing belt. The idler and adjuster bearings were of very high quality (Koyo), and I was pleased with them. All of the parts are made in Japan, except the timing belt which is made in Thailand... which brings me to my final point, the timing belt is NOT Mitsubishi brand as the product description says. It is made by "Mitsuboshi", but nevertheless appeared to be of very good quality, or I would not have installed it.Again, installation went well, bearings/belt were of good quality and engine operates normally after installation.

I did a lot of research on my car parts before we even began replacing things. My husband and I are no mechanics, but thanks to the instructions and youtube, we were able to use everything in this kit. I understand that the water pump and pulleys are OEM, while the timing belt is Mitsuboshi(I've read that this company has a great reputation). These parts went on quickly and easily. I do have a word of caution. Do not buy Amazon warehouse deals for car parts. We ordered the first kit and saved $50 through Amazon warehouse and everything was the wrong part except for the water pump. I read earlier where another customer got a kit that contained wrong parts through Amazon warehouse.I should have heeded his warning. Non the less, I've learned a valuable lesson and lost three days work trying to figure out what was wrong. I was very happy with the right kit and saved a lot of money in the process. Thank you
