ten dollar wonder wheel
Great at night with my crystal for a nice ceiling pattern. And great in the sunlight for rainbows bouncing off my crystal set in place. I dont hear it (unless my ear is inches away). But, it us either all on or all off. The switch operates both the light and rotate at the same time when plugged in. I was hoping to be able to rotate without the light. when on the lights slowly change colors. FYI. Each time you press the power button the rotation changes direction.

you will need mounting tape, the surface is slick
this is amazing! I love it but the top it very slick so if you are wanting to display anything glass then invest in double sided sticky tape so your item can't slide off. It's going to work great for making sample videos of my tumblers too :)

Batteries not included
This is an interesting product. It has cords, and it has a nightmare excuse for a battery spot. The springs in the battery compartment are rather long, and it requires 3 AAA batteries (no big deal) BUT! The layout of the battery compartment makes it difficult to put batteries in without extra tools. I ended up using a narrow strip of metal to compress the top spring while putting the battery in the bottom slot (tight fit). After all that, I discovered that batteries only light it up, they do not rotate it. As I planned to use this for photographing my cups and 3D Art to sell, this is problematic for me. The cord that came with it does rotate it just fine, but how do you hide a black cord in a white light box?! That said, I don’t recall seeing in the text that the thing had a battery compartment at all so I am still counting this as a win.

BEEFY construction - it can handle WAY more weight than I'd have thought....
much more SOLID motor than I'd expected.... despite the price, this is not some cheaply made POS - you can feel the weight of the motor magnets when you pick it up (which only means something to those w/ at least a basic understanding of electronics, but don't feel bad if that's not you: heavier generally denotes more torque [strength])I didn't think I was going to like the mirror top OR the multi-color LEDs... I was really wanting all black & a single color set of LEDs (or the ability to choose color), but it really actually looks nice lighting up my blown glass jellyfish.

My Friendship with Amlong has just begun
The media could not be loaded. My life is crystal balls and photography. Amlong is the very best with both the quality of the product and the packaging which is immaculate and swift. If I can manage to make millions selling my product it will be of Amlong origin. The base rotates about 1x per min, it is a tiny bit noisy in a perfectly quiet room but it spins even the massive 5" crystal and am confident it will work for the 8" when I start ordering those. I am choosing Amlong as my trusted and preferred crystal ball / display dealer. Atlantean Marbles has a friend.

Objects will eventually rotate off of the base.
We have a glass jelly fish positioned on top of this. It looks amazing however after continuous rotation, the object slowly work it's way off center to eventually fall off. No matter how centered we get it. and it is heavy enough where I would hope it shouldn't do that. We thought about using museum putty underneath it but we think that will hinder the light illumination coming from the base. We haven't tried it yet so I could be wrong. I initially was looking for a non swiveling/spinning version of this but all that I found on amazon at he time was the rotating bases. So I figured I'd get it. Just didn't expect to have to watch the object we place upon it to make sure it doesn't eventually migrate off the rotating platform

It’s bright and pretty.
It works well, as long as the items aren’t too heavy. If the sculpture is too heavy it will not rotate. But it’s good for a glass ball size.

Broken
It seemed great, but broke within the first week of using it. My daughter used it as a nightlight and within the first week, the rotating table started to make a ton of noise. We are unable to use it. She got it for Christmas and cries because it is so loud she can't use it.
