I usually wear an XL, so I bought this in an XL. It was just too small. I exchanged it for an XXL. While it fits, I feel like after a big dinner it'll be too tight. I think the problem is that there is NO stretch at all in the waist band. It's beautiful and I think it's very flattering. I suggest ordering a size up since there is no elastic.

It's a typical Aline, not a lot of stretch. I'm of course worried about it being white and lacy, but it's lovely. The main concern was that even with the three layers (lace, top, slip) I could still see the color of the shirt I tucked in (light salmon/peach). The skirt was still my best option for the wedding I had that week, so I kept it.

I really do love this skirt and it is close (but no cigar) as far as measurements go. The seller says to allow 1-2cm difference in measurements from size chart since it's handmade. Which I totally get since I sew for a living. My waist is 39" and so per the size chart I ordered the 3XL. This skirt was 40" plus a scootch so it didn't sit exactly where I needed it to to be comfortable. The length is fairly close to the sizing chart so that's a plus. I'm NOT a superfan of the lining being 5" shorter than the skirt. An inch or two I could see, but in the black color with my pasty-pale legs, it's NOT a good look.I'm returning this so I can get a smaller size and hopefully I'll luck out with a good fit on the next one because the lace is really high quality. Should I get a good fit in the waist, I'll be hemming it slightly to deal with the differential between the lining length and outer fabric length.Edited review: I just received the 2XL and tried it on. It's only 2+" too big in the waist. Third time's the charm? Hopefully? I really love this skirt. I just wish the size chart was accurate. :(
