This is a great radio for a great price. It's barebones but that's the point. I use this radio while I run or walk. I've tried various radios over the past 15 years. If you'd seen my pictures from marathons, I'm wearing a headset around my neck.What works best is a plain simple radio like the SF-59. I've tried digital radios. The batteries last about an hour and they are not durable.Here's the pros:* Low price;* Despite it's bulk, it fits nicely in a belt or pocket;* The belt clip is very good;* Good reception for moderate-strength stations; and* Durable;There are negatives:* Battery falls out; this has been a problem with the last two walkmens I've owned;* Dials easily move; I use triple-wrapped duct tape to prolong reception; a simple lock on the sound and station potentimeter (dial) would solve this problem;* Dropping the radio caused the sound dial to fail; it sticks adjusting the sound dial reduces sound, then it's shouting in my ear, then it's dead again;* Poor reception for moderate-strength stations because of interference from strong stations.Overall, however, standards must be pretty low, this radio is a success in its market. I got this for my husband and he lives it. Small, light and easy to use.

i wish it would get more stations

This is the second one I have purchased, I get a lot of use out of it as I listen to it all day at work. The headphones I received were not the over the ear headphones but the kind you put directly in your ear and the earpiece is plastic and way too big for my ears, so they were worthless.This radio gets very good reception especially in areas that are difficult like Kansas. I took 2 different radios to compare when I visited my kids there and this radio got clearer stations and some that the other radio did not even pick up.Good radio for the money.

Works well

Its OK for the price and some stations are very clear while others fade in and out. Tuning dial a little antiquated but works fine. Would buy again for my purposes.
