I was expecting something like the normal granulated sugar. In pourability, it is more like a cross between white and brown sugar. There are clumps in the date sugar that required breaking up. I put the date sugar in a shaker that has larger holes. The small clumps pass through and break apart when I cook in oatmeal. I find that it is not as sweet as granulated white sugar, so if you are looking for the same sweetness you may need to use more. It also cakes together in the container even though there is a lid on it. Unlike brown sugar that can set up hard, a little tap on the counter loosens it, at least so far. Since I am not hung up on sweetness, I enjoy the less taste of sweetness and enjoy knowing I am getting benefits from the date since it uses the whole date minus the seed.

Date sugar is the healthiest sweetener as it's a whole food, just dried dates. I have replaced sugar with this in my house. Mind you, it does not dissolve like sugar, but it's a terrific sweetner. I use it for baking, sprinkling on oats or any other food that needs swetening, just not anything liquid. This product has good strong flavor, it has a few lumps but can easily be broken up. A word of appreciation for the customer service. They go above and beyond to satisfy their customers and stand by the quality of their product. I love to purchase from sellers who do this.

I added this dates powder in baby food . He loves it . It adds a lil flavor to his food. Without adding sugar ..

Really not for hot drinks like coffee. Remains in the bottom of the cup.

This date sugar is awesome! I made my favorite peanut butter cookie recipe which I’ve made for years and love. This time instead of rolling the cookies in regular sugar I rolled them in date sugar and they were the best they’ve ever been! Next I’m planning to use date sugar in place of regular sugar in pumpkin pie. I’m sure it will be delicious! I’m also planning to try it in banana bread. Can’t wait! It is expensive compared to regular sugar but it’s so good I think it’s worth the price.

I really like this Date sugar and will continue to purchase this brand. I used a tsp in my coffee just to see it the 1 star was right about it not dissolving and gritty. I did Not experience any grittiness and my coffee was sweet. Very good product!

I just received the date sugar, and while the expiration date says 2022, the bag arrived filled with hard lumps, some as big as golf balls. I know this is made from organic dates, and I appreciate that it has no added ingredients for anti-clumping, etc. but the large lumps are so hard that they can't even be dispersed by pounding which renders that part useless. They are so hard that I'd be afraid to even try grinding them in my food processor for fear it will break. The small lumps were still able to be dispersed. By 2022 the entire bag would be one hard, useless lump. Disappointed.

This is the first time I received packs which had a burnt taste. Immediately the company rep got in touch with me and replaced both the packs within 2 days. The new packs taste delicious like always. I am a great fan on the taste and quality of this product.
