Hi. I do a lot of traveling! How do I get a charger that charges 240 volt

Buy a portable travel 220-250 volt to 110-120 volt, up to 50 W step down transformer/converter from any one of several retailers, such as Amazon, Sears, Walmart, or a local hardware or electronics store. The price should be under $25. The trimmer only excepts one 110-120 Volts, so you do need a converter if you're in Europe.

If it's not waterproof, how are we supposed to clean it? Or by not being waterproof, do you just mean that it can't be used in the shower?

You can remove the blade to rinse this and clean it. This cannot be used in the shower.

can it be used as a shaver as well?

If you aren't looking for a close shave, it will work fine.

Say the battery is completely dead, will it still work if connected to outlet?

No this model will not work corded, plugged into the electrical outlet.
