Great !!! I have made empanadas in the past without this product however this is a game changer. They come out perfect every time. You don’t even have to use the fork to pinch them. They look lso good. Washing the product is a breeze.

The design is good - it is useful to have a built-in cutter to make the dough circles the right size to use in the mold. Also, the internal volume of the mold is large so you can easily fill the pastry to the maximum allowed by the dough circles. However, the steel could be a little thicker. This would make the mold a little heavier. The mold isn't particularly flimsy and I realize that putting more metal in the design would drive the cost up with perhaps not much benefit. I would probably have attached the two handles with TIG welding and eliminate the screws.

Look what you can do with this little kitchen accessory. It works great and is perfect for making fried pies and other hand pies. It cuts flawlessly and is easy to clean. This is not a flimsy piece of plastic, but it is a well made stainless steel mold that I expect to last a long time. I definitely recommend this product for anyone to makes hand pies.

Unfortunately it showed up with one of the hinges broken, was barely able to use it. If the hinges weren’t tacked welded on and used a small bolt and nut it would be so much better

I used this for empanadas & it definitely didn’t seal the dough. I needed to seal it with a fork when I was done. Back to the old way I go

great for fried pies

Enjoy making my basic empanada or for this size, pastelillos (potato/potatoe).Very easy to use on pre-made 5 inch disc's, no more open gaps making oil splashing mess when frying. Love it.Saves me a little more time now that I got some practice with it. And it is so easy to clean, yay!Would be buying the 6inch later on as I am finding myself with leftover meat when using only 1 :1, one pack of 5 inch disc's and one pound of meat ratio.
