I bought this for my 14 year old niece for Christmas and it was a big hit. Apparently The Ordinary is on all of my nieces’ Amazon wish lists, and I have no shortage of nieces. I see it pop up every time I check their lists for birthdays, Christmas, graduations, and every other buying holiday in between. When you’re a teenager, having clear, fresh looking skin is basically a top priority, and she was really excited to start using these. She’s been experimenting with different skincare lately, and so far this is the only brand that hasn’t caused her to break out, which is a pretty big win at 14. She said it feels light on the skin and leaves her face feeling clean and hydrated without being heavy or sticky. And honestly, there’s nothing ordinary about this stuff except the name. It’s a great little starter set for someone getting into skincare, and judging by the reaction I got when she opened it, it also earned me favorite aunt status, which I’ll gladly take.

I always love this brand. Their products are amazing quality for skin improvement. As an esthetician student learning about the dangers of certain ingredients, with this brand I don't have to worry about that.

It gives me that juicy, plump feeling right away. • Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% helps smooth texture and reduce oil without drying me out. It's one of the most beginner-friendly actives out there. No sting, no fuss, just results. • And the Caffeine Solution 5%? 👀 It visibly reduces puffiness under my eyes within minutes. No joke. Check my photos. The before and after was only 10 minutes apart. 💥 ⚠️ I also used hyaluronic acid and my usual moisturizer under my eyes before applying the caffeine serum, which I think helped it absorb better and lock in moisture. The Ordinary is anything but. They have amazing products and give easy to understand instructions and even tell you what time of day and or frequency is best. I am learning to be a skintalectual and make sure my self care is good for the environment as well as my own moral guidance.

I used it now for like a month. It ok, but I wouldn’t buy it again. I have to control using hyaluronic acid on my high-blemished part of skin. Niacinamide is better on blemishes, but doesn’t remove it completely with regular usage. Plus I got tiny under skin pimples on my forehead, chin & on the sides of my face. For me it means that product doesn’t hydrate my skin enough. Caffeine Solution is better in terms of reactions. But, to be honest I don’t really see results on my dark circles. Also, because of all the reactions I have to use it at night only & my blemished skin is still a bit red in the morning.
