This lists dell inspiron 1525 compatible--- but then says "check" to see --- well it it compatible iwth dell inspiron 15" or not???

The Dell laptop I have is an Inspiron 1440, 14". It fit my computer just right. If you have a 1525, it shows the battery is compatible.

Will the battery be sent fully charged?

As I recall the battery was not “fully” charged

Will this battery work with my Inspirion 1750 even though old battery has an extension on the end?

It shows that it will work in your 1750. Amazon had a data sheet from the manufacturer that shows all of the laptop's it will work in.

will this be compatible for a Dell Inspiron i5748-1143sLV?

I don't know for sure. It works fine in my Inspiron 1545. Originally purchased in the mid 90's. This is a back up Lap Top. Call Dell and ask them. Have more spec info on the battery available for them
