I bought this vest at the last minute before a trip. I used it several days while snorkeling and it held me up perfectly. It also served as a little bit of a wetsuit to keep me a little bit warmer in February. It inflated just as little or as much as I needed. I have a 38 D chest size and I did have to order the small size because that is what was available for overnight shipping. It for me a little snuggly but it was comfortable for me. It was not bulky and actually pretty comfortable in the water.

I am a beginning snorkeler in Lake Superior. For me, the water can be cold and get choppy in seconds. I have been playing around with snorkeling for two seasons now and decided it was time to move away from bringing a life jacket when I needed extra support. I have swum in this twice now and am so much more confident in my abilities because this steadies me so well. Though this jacket is really well made (soft velcro, flat seems) THIS IS NOT A LIFE JACKET. It is really important that everyone recognizes this isn't a life-saving device, I take pride in my water safety but again, this has made me so much more confident.I inflate it just slightly the whole time and I am steady in the waves and pop up really smoothly. I also am more comfortable "bobbing" in the water just kicking my flippers and my head stays well above the water for short periods of time. I have also messed around trying to reinflate this while in the waves. Its a bit tricky and I suggest some practice where your comfortable before going too far as when you undo the valve the water pressure pushes air out. But I have my timing down now and can easily add extra air.I am 5"4" and 170#, I average a 38D. I purchased a Medium, it fits very comfortably and has plenty of room to let out or take in still. The sleek design looks great over my NRS hydroskin 1.5MM jacket, I forget I am wearing it in the water.I gave this a 4 instead of 5 for two reasons. 1) when mine inflates, it doesn't look like the image. It is one flat cell that inflates, it's not ridged. I still think the air distributes evenly and holds well. 2) I really wish it had a bright color on it. I like the black, this vest is 100% more attractive than any other snorkeling "vest" on the market but in the water, who cares what you look like, I want to be seen should I ever need help. I did purchase an inflatable dive buoy to help with this.Overall, super happy to own this item.

I love all the adjustments I can make to have it fit securely. It adjusts at the shoulders, under the arms and near the waist. It appears to be very well made and is comfortable. It is very easy to inflate and deflate. I haven't used it yet for snorkeling since I bought it for an upcoming vacation but I think it will make me feel much more secure since I am not a swimmer.

Inflate for surface snorkeling, with an option to deflate and dive, then easily inflate when you get back to the surface. Lightweight, comfortable, and functional.

i bought three different vests in two weeks to test them.this vest, the third purchase is my favorite.well built,i am 6'1,220 the largest size fits very well for me.wife is 5'7, 190 vest is a bit too big for her.the next smaller size would be just right for her.for now she uses the cheaper knockoff.this vest keeps me flat on the water with no body roll,velcro side secures vest really well.one gal mentioned if you want to see those vest lines like pictured just blow some air into vest before you tighten up.easy on and off,looks great,fits great.i wear a rash guard shirt with my vest.while this snorkel vest is pricier well worth the investment.will buy one for wife as well.update,wife got large,fits her much better than my xl.seaview makes good stuff.my buddy tried all four of our vests and is ordering a large Palawan for himself
