I love this Cross Edge pen! The matte black finish looks sharp and professional, and the rollerball ink is smooth and effortless to write with. It doesn’t smudge, and the ink dries quickly. This is the only pen I use, and the only pen I buy as gifts. Most other reviews cover almost all the positives, there is one feature this pen has that not only don't other people mention, but isn't in the description or advertisement by Cross here on Amazon. Namely, that the pocket clip is spring/hinged loaded, and by pushing on the top part of the clip, the bottom opens up almost like an alligator clip. This means that it's beyond easy to secure it in a pocket, organizer, or like I do, in between the buttons of my button down shirt.I've left this pen at home by accident from time to time, and have used another Cross pen that day (one that doesn't have this clip), or other "nice" pens, and it's then that I realized how much I just have to have that hinged pocket clip. It's a game changer, ESPECIALLY if you're someone who uses his pen a lot at intervals throughout the day, and find yourself putting it away for a few minutes before needing it againI can't believe more high end pens don't do this, or that Cross hasn't incorporated this into other pens in their line.As far as the pen itself, it's been covered pretty well by others. It writes great, it is customizable with ink and tip, and it looks fantastic.Pro tip though. If you get this pen and hand it to someone else to use while it's closed, I guarantee that person will twist the hell out of it trying to open it not realizing it's a pull open pen. The pen has held up under multiple people doing this, including a few times they really tried cranking on it, but continuous "abuse" like this will loosen up the open mechanism a bit, making it a little shaky and not as solid.Side note....this pen is on the medium/large size, which is perfect for me as I have big hands and long fingers, but I could see this being a bit large to hold comfortably for those with smaller hands.All in all, this is the best pen I've ever used

Very nice pen, heavier than just a regular ink pen feels robust and of a superior writing quality.

Interesting design that prevents the cap of the pen from being lost. The cap in this case slides up, exposing the ink tip. Sliding it back down retracts the tip. Disappointed that it's not a metal pen, it's plastic, which feels cheap. A nice pen, writes well, I'm not sure I'd buy it again.

The media could not be loaded. Great pen!! I have another Cross century set that was gifted 20+ years ago. That pen (and this pen) will outlive me.I have 2 - one for home and one stays in my bag.Highly recommend. Writes superbly, even on super cheap paper. Really enjoy how easy it is to open and close with one hand.UPDATE - WOW, pens are its own thing! I dove head in, all Cross. I grabbed another 3 of this pen, and 3 presidential favorites (for my EDC bag).I use this pen for longer writing sessions. The presidential favorites are if I’m out and about. I grabbed the gold plated versions too because I need to be extra fancy signing my IHOP checks.
