If your carful. This saves you lots of $
So far so good. I've had a cavity sence before my teen years. Just recently half of one of those cavities fell out?! PMO ! The Dentist wanted $1200 to pull my moler, bla bla bla, yea right.. nada. I started cleaning the vacant hole in my tooth with kitchen sink spray nozzle then drops of antiseptic. Then Tucking/packing a piece of plastic sandwich wrap! worked good for weeks. Sometimes at the bottom of the hole/cavity the nerve can get irritated? via pull out , sterilize, repack. I told that story you just read above to a friend and he told me about (Dempent) . I have Amazon prime. There it is the next day on my porch. I'm still getting use to ... Ignoring what the dentist "recommended " and "navigating" this on my own. Luckly this molar is on the bottom and in the middle/front ...more. Advice=have a dental "pick" very helpful . last bit of advice. When the product lable says , after you insert a little bit in hole bite down to "form It". Dont "Pack" because it could press on the nerve down below and be irritating. So far so good. I also have a "wider" gap in-between two molars that I was sick and tired of using dental string to get the food out ;( Not any more!

Was great, now Inconsistant .This time sticky, runny, unuseable.
Something wrong with the mix this time. It works when it was more like putty, as it was the first second and third time buying. Need it to keep a cavity filled so it doesn't become larger. Until I am able to get to a dentist to have the tooth crowned. For several conditions concerning my health I am unable to schedule a Dental appointment until the out side temps are below 60 degrees, in winter. My autonomic nervous system has been rendered unable to regulate body temperature, due to a rare genetic surprise metabolic disease called adult onset mitochondrial disease at age 45. progressive and no treatment or cure.So its very difficult for me to leave my air-conditioned home for past 5 years. But this product no longer is correctly formulated. Its used to be like a putty, and that worked very well for applying. Now, the 3 kits that I had just bought, the filler is very runny sticky and its impossible to use it. It sticks to my fingers instead of being pushed into the cavity. The formula is now missing a catalyst or whatever made it pliable and controllable when you roll it to prepare for use. I want my money back.

Adhesion poor. Disappointed.
After following the instructions to the letter several times, I still found my loose crown came loose again within just a few hours. I never used that tooth to chew anything so the adhesive loosened on its own. I repeated using it 3 different times thinking perhaps I'd done something wrong but got the same failure all those times as well. I'm disappointed in a product supposed to have maximum strength. I even waited 3 full hours before even drinking anything to allow it to set as the instructions explained but still no go. A waste of money.

Works for a short term fix
I bought this to replace a filling that fell out after my last cleaning. The tooth is scheduled to be crowned later this month so I needed something to get me thru the two week gap until then. The thing is the filling I am replacing is/was huge. I mean the size of a pencil eraser...even a little bigger. Initially there was half a pocket for the material to cling too a little but the side that was left broke off so now there is just the roots of the tooth, which is a molar, with a little bit of tooth edge but not much. So this is really not a typical lost filling scenario. That said, it took a little trial and error to come up with the best way to handle my situation. In the end what works best is to use a small ball and pressed it into the top of what is left of the tooth. Pressing it down a few times to get out any pockets too seems to help - the more contact it has with the tooth the better. I found out pretty quick it takes some time to dry before you can really chew on it. I recommend you apply it before bed so it has the entire night to harden. It definitely works a lot better if it has longer to cure. It still only last about a day or so before it crumbles and needs to be replaced.Too be fair though, my situation is a bit extreme. If you are just replacing a normal size filling it should stay in place a lot longer than is has for me. In the end it gets the job done and is holding me over until I can see my dentist. Thankfully it is not expensive and you get a lot for the money...which comes in handy in a situation like mine.

American dental care is horrible but this helps pain!
If you live in America.. you know how horrible and outrageously expensive our dental care is. This product COMPLETELY stops the nerve pain from dislodged fillings once it’s in. I use this with two teeth currently. One tooth started hurting about 3 years ago a few weeks after the filling first fell out. It was such excruciating pain…like the worst pain I’ve ever felt. I couldn’t sleep or eat and at that time, couldn’t afford a dentist. I was desperate and tried this product. I honestly didn’t think it would work. It calmed my tooth pain within minutes. The throbbing subsided and eventually stopped altogether. That tooth is still very sensitive and sometimes eating on it can hurt, but that’s better than the electric throbbing I was feeling. It probably needs a root canal which will cost $2500 that I don’t have the luxury of spending. It’s seriously so sad most of us here are getting this product because we can’t afford to get the treatment we need. We need to band together and stop letting dentists scam us. Just take it from me, if you’re in pain buy this. Leave it in for 2-3 days, then get a metal toothpick and take the old temp filling out, disinfect the tooth with antibacterial mouthwash, and put in a new one. This is the only thing that will stop your exposed nerves from hurting.
