Transformers Beast Wars: Season 1

Love this series and dvd set only gripe is I wish I can enjoy it on bluray but eh what are you going to do 🤷‍♂️

I enjoy this series I hope I'll get the full collection

You get a front row seat of theautobots vs decepticons.Soundtrack, conflict, & jokes here or there are only a few descriptions that make up an well aged animation such as this one.

On a planet in the near future, the Beast Wars begin in this thrilling spinoff of the Transformers. Contains all episodes from Season One.

I missed my opportunity to get the older release of this series, so when I heard that ShoutBox would be rereleasing it, I was overjoyed! Everything is exactly as I remember it, right down to the grainy tv quality picture. I don't dock ShoutBox points for that however, as the originals ShoutBox produced this run from are likely that quality to begin with. It only persists for the first few episodes, with the latter part of the season (and season 2/3, now that I have it too) are about as high of quality as one could expect from SD content.Bottom line, if you liked this series when it was on tv back in the 90s and missed your chance at the older DVD set, snatch this one up (and Transformers Beast Wars: Seasons 2 & 3 as well!) It is worth every penny in my opinion, which really isn't all that much for what you're getting.

The two main factions of "Transformers" in this series are descendants of the two main factions in the original cartoon. The Maximals are the descendants of the Autobots and the Predacons are the descendants of the Decepticons.2 ships come through a warp in space and time, battle , then crash land on an unknown planet. The Maximals deployed their main crew in orbit, in stasis pods. This let the show have potentially limitless numbers of new characters available, to introduce when wanted.The energon levels on the planet were off the charts. The energy levels would destroy robotic forms with prolonged exposure, only organic life could survive it. So they created alternate forms, based on lifeforms. The predacons favored insects, arachnids, or reptiles. The Maximals favored mammals or birds. The 2 leaders were Optimus and Megatron - namesakes of the of the originals. Every other Maximal or Predacon chose a new name, one that reflects their Beast Mode.On that planet the cybertronians were no longer merely robots in disguise. They had become sophisticated cyborgs. Their beast forms had everything innate to the animal. They would eventually learn that they couldn't deny or fight their beast instincts. In this series the Transformers truly evolved.

I was so excited when I saw the complete first season was on DVD, looking forward to when I can get the second and third season boxset. Beast Wars was the first transformers series I ever saw, making this boxset a fun reviewing to marathon watch. Especially since I had missed out on a lot of episodes during the series original running back in the day.

Oh my goodness! The memories!!! I am so glad I found this. I used to watch this every weekday after school. You have to get this. It is amazing. I just love it! The case was a bit damaged but it probably happened during shipping. And the discs were fine! This was a super buy.
