Works well with the bath chair, makes sliding over the bath lip that bit easier. I am one side paralysed due to a stroke and I find it helps me with my independent.

My wife has stage 4 Ovarian Cancer that has spread to other organs. This means she cannot be cured and is very vulnerable and weak.Her OT recommended getting a bath seat to assist her in getting a bath since she has trouble getting in and out of the bath due to her illness which can only be controlled and not cured.We purchased this an addition to purchasing a bath seat from the same company.On using this for the first time on lowering the bath seat it came away from under her and terrified her. She regarded it as being dangerous to use. Ideally, it should have been possible to fix it to the bath seat so it did not come away so easily. It only fits loose on top of the seat.We decided to return both the bath seat and this addition as we both regarded them as being unsafe to use.On returning them using the Amazon 30 day returns procedure the company stated that as the item had been used (once) it was a biohazard? and refused to refund the £100+ cost. They also stated that they would dispose of the product if we had not arranged for this unsafe product to be collected within two weeks. Therefore, we are £100+ out of pocket. I strongly advise potential purchasers to be aware of this company's returns policy before purchasing this.

Good idea and product, just not suitable for my mum, who is 85 and has very wrinkly/saggy skin which got nipped by this item. As she was in the bath it also started to slide forward and she nearly slipped into the bath. I would say it’s a great item for disabled younger people, or for those with a little more mobility than my mum.I tried it and it was great. So I would recommend the product in the right circumstances.

Good slide when handled with care but a pathetic flimsy cover on seat which disintegrated in few weeks

This device is well designed and easy to use atop the bath lift chair it was designed to match. I took on board the comments by another reviewer that for a larger user there could be an issue where flesh could be pinched between the turntable and the seat, but my mother, for whom it was bought, is a small lady and we have no problem in that regard, hence the five star review.UPDATE April 2023 - Six months into using this swivel seat the blue cover started to disintegrate. The seller says that scouring compounds should not have been used on it but no scourers were ever used, just a gentle wipe each day with a sponge to remove excess water before letting it dry naturally. The cover is pathetically thin yet the maintenance instructions say it should last for three years and is removable and machine washable! No chance of that.I am now in dispute with the seller over a replacement cover since the first has not lasted the statutorily required 12 months. Replacement covers can be bought for £75, which is ridiculous as the whole swivel seat was just £89 when I bought it in July 2022 (it is now over £100).The seat still functions but now hygiene is more difficult to maintain with the shredded cover (see photo).

I would have given it 5 stars but whilst this is a great addition to the bath lift it can slide on the seat especially if the user slopes the back of the seat down. It would be useful if it could be locked in position on the seat.
