Mix this Kimchi Base with the Gochujang Paste and a little lite soy sauce. Then Ferment anywhere from 24 hrs-34 hrs for A delicious Kimchee. The kimchee base is good buy itself, but is better when mixed with the long lasting fermented paste. The Gochujang Paste will last in your fridge for months and you will be able to make batch after batch of Kimchi. I've been using this kimchi base sauce for a very long time. Use it on so many things. Make's everything you eat taste great!

Short and sweet, this is great stuff. Excellent on sushi and sashimi, which I use it on most. Put on eggs, bagels, you name it. It is high in sodium, so need to use wisely, but it has a great flavor. Been using this product for 10 years now, and will continue. Amazon is the best place to purchase this item for price point and shipping.

I have been purchasing this product for years. Ether you love it or hate it. It has a nice spicy without being to hot garlic but not really taste. It is difficult to discribe. You can pick it up in an asian market/oriental grocer in a small bottle to try. I purchase through Amazon as the price is great for the 3 bottle pack of 15.5 oz each. I use on everything from eggs to potatoes.

Got this for my mother who is 63yrs old and been making kimchi her whole life and she gave me some tips. If you use this alone it will NOT TASTE like the real authentic kimchi. If you want this to taste like the real thing. Add the following to the sauce.Garlic paste, very little of ginger paste, korean hot pepper flakes ( I found alot the better), little of fish sauce ( if you are vegan or veggiterian leave it out)Soak the cabage or cucumber of your choice in salt water and wash them out lightly after 30mins to an hour. And then add all the sauce wi other ingredients.Leave them out an half day. And then refrigerate.Now you have the real thing;)

One jar made two batches of great kim chee. The lack of recipe or instructions is excused by the fact that there is no set way to make kim chee. I soaked 4 lbs cut bok choy and 4 lbs turnips in brine over night (½+ cup sea salt in enough water to cover each). Rinsed both well and mixed in ⅔ jar with the bok choy and ⅓ with turnips. The turnips could have used more. ½ and ½ would have been better, both were good. I was interested to see this base was made in Japan, which is where I was introduced to kim chee. They know their kim chee there as well as the Koreans.

You can't make kimchee without this. It just won't taste right. I just learned to make kimchee this year, Nd didn't use this the first time. Urgggggg... A friend said to buy this base, and now I'll never buy kimchee again. Mine's better!

Used it for awhile now. It's easy to use and we really like the taste of it.
