DarcoInternational (n) Heel Wedge Healing Shoe - X-Large

Got these for my diabetic dad and they cover his toes. They seem to kerp his feet stable. Actually his feet have improved since I got these for him. I would definitely buy these again. And the price is great.I would buy them from Amazon before I'd ever let a doctor hive me one. Plus the sole is a little thicker than other surgical shoes. That's great for my dad and the sites on his feet.

The shoe is very lightweight, which is very nice. the lack of a heel is exactly what I need. unfortunately, the instructions for fitting it on were very sparse or non existent. one of the important straps didn't seem to stick (velcro) anywhere.

Did exactly what my doctor wanted it to do--keep pressure off of my heel.

This shoe is supposed to protect the heel of the foot, but it's material feels like concrete. We can't use it, don't know how anyone can.

It takes someone else to put the shoe on you as the Velcro strip that goes across your foot has two flaps that need to be placed correctly before using the Velcro to secure your foot. Even for the other Velcro strap it is the same concern. You could probably get the shoe on yourself but not correctly taking away from what the shoe is used for and probably damaging the Velcro straps which may require you to have to buy more before what you are using them for id heeled correctly.
