Works great
This replaced my old discontinued Rheem RTG-64XLP after a part on it broke that I couldn’t find. It was easy to swap out the old pressure release components and I didn’t even need to hook up the control panel. Just plugged it in (actually had to solder a plug to the bare wires) and heat was perfect temp for my needs (tiny house with indoor and outdoor showers and one kitchen sink). THE BEST PART, so far, is it froze solid for like 5 days and was totally fine! I’m amazed. I’ll update this review if I end up plugging in the old control panel to confirm it’s comparable. Also, bought this one scratch/dent for a couple hundred less and still have been VERY pleased with it. For those on solar: The heating element cuts on at about 32F and pulls about a 100watts when plugged in with inverter on. The heating element regulates itself decently by cutting on and off. It might cut off based on temp, or could be a timing component too. I couldn’t really tell. When it froze solid I had it plugged in with power, insulated the unit and the water lines, and was letting faucet drip/run… it still froze up, but my whole water system is above ground (not buried) and it got abnormally cold here in NE Georgia.

This is a great water heater.
We have a 550 sq. ft. cabin. We have a full bath and a kitchenette. I also have a dog bath. This has not ran out of hot water yet. Even with long showers and long dog baths. It's been great. We have 80 lb propane tank feeding it, and we have not had to refill yet. It's been almost 3 mos. It was relatively easy and straight forward to install.

Defective unit
A disaster. My contractor installed the unit, it didn’t work so we brought a Plummer. It was telling us error 12 that means there was little gas coming in the tank so I paid the Plummer to change my plumbing and in the end it was a defective unit. Amazon window closed a eeek ago. So I’m stuck with this unit!

Compre uno y me duro un año de uso empezó a botar agua por adentro
Ahora compré otro del mismo modelo y cada vez que lo uso me pone error 12

It works.
Just make sure you get the correct one. LPG and natural gas are different units and do not work with the wrong gas. Hold the up button if you want it above 120F
