This book contains 42 immaculately arranged and tabbed Ghibli Classics.The difficult of the pieces ranges from Easy to Challenging and is a good road-map for any Ghibli Lover to improve their finger-style technique, one piece at a time.It is worth noting that this is a Japanese book, written solely in Japanese.It is sheet music so it doesn't read back to front, but the descriptions and song names will be lost on you if you do not speak the language.To find the song names of each of the pieces in English you can go to this website : http://www.bsvmusic.com/e/and then select the (ghibli) book on the left hand side. The list there is in the same order as the book is written left to right. My solution was just to go through one piece at a time and write in the song names.Another thing that is worth noting is that most of the pieces are written in Drop D. For me personally and I would assume, most people, tuning to drop D is no issue and I've seen no repercussions from tuning one string down by one note. However some people like to have their guitars set up for a particular tuning and may be loathe to change, so it is worth keeping this in mind.The only other drawback is as I mentioned earlier, that it is all in Japanese and hence the descriptions are lost on me. These descriptions, which detail particular parts of each piece with personal note's from the arranger are typically very useful when learning a new piece or technique, and it's a shame I can't understand them myself. This is however a shortcoming of mine, is unrelated to the quality of the product.At the end of the day this is a well arranged collection of Ghibli's music for guitar. Learning to play these pieces is fun and rewarding, and helps you better appreciate the musical nuances of that very Ghibli-esque sound we all love.Excellent book, I highly recommend it, as well as Daisuke Minamizawa's other works.
