Heats fase and holds heat. I would subjest getting the next larger size if you plan on using to pressing combs at once.

haven't used it yet BUT... it is made of sturdy material...and much bigger than the picture... definitely can get 2 pressing combs or pressing comb and curler in barrel to get heated for using.
