Great lightweight anchor
Bought this for my old boat and it worked well, so I bought it again. I boat on Lake Huron and this holds very well and is lightweight and easy to use.

Awesome anchor
I bought this as a stern anchor for my Sportsman 23-foot center console. It is super lightweight yet has surprising hold on sand and muck bottoms. As a bonus, it fits the anchor storage bracket of the Sportsman perfectly.

An excellent choice for applications not requiring something exceedingly heavy
These are described as both strong and lightweight. (I have three) There is no question they are indeed both of those things. I find the design to be simple, the quality of the materials to be exceptionally high, and the quality of the manufacturing to be equally as high. The alloy that these are made of is absolutely perfect for this application, I used to be very concerned about rinsing down my anchors for the fair amount of salt water use that they get, and while I still do that with these occasionally, it is nowhere near as necessary, especially when paired with a stainless steel chain and shackles. They always look like new and work great! As for the value, I think it's a very fair price for a product that has this much functionality, overall quality, and what I anticipate will be exceptional durability.

Very lightweight
This anchor is awesome. We had a heavy steel anchor that may have held the boat a little better. But because the steel anchor was so heavy, I was aways concerned that I would hit the side of the boat or damage seats while trying to clean mud off and put into locker. I'm glad that I overcame the sticker shock (price). Damage to gelcoat or ripped seat, not to mention the weight difference was well worth the price.

Always works
Theses anchors are top of the line. Have owned several different sizes over the years and never disappointed.

Impressive for it's size/weight
This works impressively well on my 22' bay boat for it's small size and weight. My boat has a pitifully small anchor locker and I was doubtful that a 4lb anchor could possibly hold it in our heavy currents. But, combined with 6' of galvanized chain (which is heavier than the anchor itself) this grabs hold quickly and holds fast around the sand bars where I use it most.I use a iPilot trolling motor to "anchor" when out fishing, and only use an anchor when I take my family to area sand bars. So, I'm not as confident it would work as well in much deeper water because I fear that the chain could actually fall faster than the anchor and foul it, but for my use, anchoring 6-20 feet deep over sand, this works perfectly.

HOODWINKED - NOT AS ADVERTISED
I was charged a "restocking fee" to return this product. It is not the weight advertised, much lighter.

It works
Used it as a stern anchor for our 24’ Key West. Worked great for backing into the beach!!!

Super light weight and hooks right away in the sand.
This anchor is a huge improvement over the steel one supplied with the boat. This one is 1/3 or 1/2 the wight, and it hooks immediately in the sand when anchoring. I felt the price was very reasonable and i will get another for a stern anchor. My pan was to use the metal on the stern, but after feeling how light the G-7 is, i want a second. I also have a much larger Fortress anchor if it gets rough, but for fair weather at the beach, these little ones do the trick. Totally recommend.

Not sure the light weight is worth the extra cost.
I am using this as my backup anchor. It was pricey and I am not sure if I really trust the lightweight aluminum is worth it. Because it is so lightweight I added extra heavy chain to keep it on the bottom which kind of defeats the purpose. Found an 8lb Danforth anchor used for $25 bucks which has since become my primary anchor just for a better nights sleep. Will continue to test the fortress and build my confidence with it over time.

I was expecting better performance from it
its ok, but the 16ft boat still moves with a long heavy chain attached. I was expecting better performance from it.
