I was struggling to find a good book as I was teaching my kid at home bcos of covid.This was a great book and one-book-fits-all solution developed by teachers. I read reviews mentioning they are disappointed bcos there was group activities. It’s an almost 600 pages book with a very broad range of topics addressing everything from A to Z so this is a great value. Even without the group activities, my single child has so much to do. We get colorful books with 25 experiments for like $15. This book has thousands of small activities and experiments, I’m glad I bought it. Also this book is different from all those out there , it doesn’t use crazy materials assuming we have a factory at home.It has pictures where necessary, and I like the font style. Font style is important to me as it inspires me to read more.I went ahead and bought the science and math books. We are a family of engineers and phd’s , so found it very appropriate.

I really love the ideas and suggestions in this book. It is laid out in a way that is easy to understand and follow. I am using this for homeschooling and do not have a group setting, I really wish you had a homeschooling version on these books. I am planning on using the family for the group ideas and otherwise improvise. However I wish this book had a nice easy materials needed section with each lesson like they have in the purple learning center book, I have to read so much more and it takes longer to decide if I want to use a specific lesson or not because of this.

Best toolbox for a parent. I use this book daily with my son who's 2.5. We LOVE it. Majority of the lesson plans have a song or nursery rhyme. Every lesson has multiple book suggestions to go along with it. This book is awesome! I'm a stay-at-home mom with an almost 3 year old. I own other activity books, such as the Busy Book, but this enormous one tops them all! Yes, it's intended for teachers but the daily "lesson plan" structure is extremely helpful for moms who like to do several activities each day with your kids. And to have it organized all nice and neat in one big book... it's great. Better than Pinterest. Each day has a theme and explores five or more regions of playful learning, such as Art, Sensory, Dramatic (pretend) play, Small & Gross Motor, Literacy, Writing, Math, Science, etc, depending on the day. Also listed are a selection of books to read for that day and a snack idea.I'm just starting to get into this book and absolutely loving it. This is just what I've been looking for. If you're a mom who likes to keep your child(ren) engaged in play & activity instead of entertained by screens & TV, this book will be your best friend. It's very accessible and just an enormous mound of ideas.tip: Try to buy it used. I got a copy in great condition for a fraction of the 'new' price (and still qualified for free super saver shipping). My copy was listed as Good condition - it seems only slightly used, much better than I was expecting! Thank you Amazon!

Good for a lesson plans

This book is an amazing resource to have on hand when educating your young child at home. Young minds need to be stimulated and many times I find myself "hitting the wall" when it comes to fun and useful ideas after a long week. I like to sit down with this over the weekend to help flesh out the coming weeks lesson plans to liven up our work. One review did mention this is better for groups at times and I found this true and had to adapt some plans at times. I do believe this is actually made for teachers so it only makes it would be set up for larger groups. Still, this is a must have for those of us with Pre-K kiddos!
