My parents recommended this vitamin to me to fight macular degeneration. I have been using PreserVision consistently for many years. Since taking my eye sight has remained steady. In one exam, it actually improved. After a certain age, 60 the eyes elongate for a period of time, sometimes ten years and one can experience symptoms similar to those of the retina detaching; however, taking these vitamins mitigates the symptoms, amazingly so. I recommend very highly for those concerned with eye care. Great supplements for improving vision and can effectively minimize mac degenerations symptoms better than anything I've tried on the market. Update - Must make an additional comment. I was diagnosed with Macular Degeneration about 7 years ago. I did not do anything about it, because the doctor said, "don't worry, they will come up with a cure by the time your mac gets aggressive. I only had a wee bit, but it was something "to watch out for") My Dad has it and is blind in one eye. I cannot let that happen so I really have taken these consistently since that exam. Just this last summer, I had the opportunity to go to an ophthalmologist - He said, there is no trace of the Macular degeneration. So the proof is in the pudding. Strongly recommend as a daily supplement.

Just 3 weeks into taking this eye supplement. For some reason they are hard to swallow for me even though I take a anti viral pill somewhat larger. I will say the best way to take them is to tilt your head back and take a large gulp of water. I have tried the chewable tablets and they are much easier to take. My title relates to the fact that they may retard any further degradation in eye sight so I am not likely to be aware of any positive change.

I like the amount of vitamin A in this vitamin. It helps my eye health but it improved my dry skin as well. Easy to swallow does not bother my stomach.

It’s helping the blurriness I had. A friend told me about the product. Said her doctor recommended it. So I started taking it. I was having trouble with a little blurry vision in my left eye. It seems to be getting better. The pills are easy to swallow ,but they are big. I don’t get any taste. And the value appeared good when I compared it to all others.

The AREDS2 formula (updated for people who smoke - that one has no Vitamin A) was what I used the first time around. This one is the original study (not a sunset or meta-analysis) formula and I ordered it in error not realising it wasn’t AREDS2 (guess the pricing threw me off). Anyways, the pills are LARGE. They look Orange as they have a lot of Vitamin A. Wonder why they couldn’t make a more compact size. I have to take two twice a day as the correct dosage. The other AREDS2 forMula pills were ovoid with a belly bulging out and chocolate colored. Those would get stuck or I would feel them go down as I swallowed. These, not so much, which is weird. I am happier to take these as I know Vitamin A and it’s relationship to retinal health (versus the AREDS2 formula). Just going with what has been proven again and again. However, they could have done a far far better job with the sizing of the pill. For this price, definitely. The filler stuff is what makes pills big (else milligrams of a chemical is a small whiff of a powder you won’t even see if you blew on it - hope you get the point). Hence the 3-stars for not caring enough about the end customer and making a horse pill.
