Healthy 'N Fit Anabolic Muscle (Chocolate) 3.5 lb - Weight Gainer and Natural Muscle Mass and Strength Gainer

January 10, 2016: I've been using this product for over a year, and it's my favorite. I go country western dancing twice a week (over 15 miles of dancing each week on average) and lift weights 5 mornings a week. I am a pretty skinny person by nature with a very high metabolism; I sweat a ton when I do aerobic exercise. This drink has many benefits for me. I am able to build muscle instead of burn it away. When I used to work out or dance without drinking this stuff, my muscles, ligaments, and tendons would all hurt. Thanks to this, I don't hurt while exercising and I typically wake up the next morning feeling fully healed. Without this, I used to have post exertional malaise, which would mean I'd wake up the next morning and not really feel well in my brain, not want to do anything, and feel overall like I couldn't move my body. It would remind me of those commercials for fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue that used to be on TV constantly a few years ago. Thanks to this, along with BCAA and L-glutamine I order from Puritan's Pride, I am able to function like a normal human being even after extra intense dancing (like 10 miles in one night). Concerning muscle building and all that, I don't personally get a ton of muscle growth, but my metabolism is so high I suppose, that I I shouldn't look like Arnold because of this. When I work out I only lift two 15 pound weights and hold them as I do bodyweight exercises so I'm not benching 300 like some guys. This protein shake mix is great for a person like me who burns calories just by blinking, and I really appreciate the extra calories this contains. If you have a belly, this could make it grow, but for me... I'm actually 2 inches skinnier around the waist than I was. Anyway, on to other details about the product... it tastes a bit like Swiss Miss hot chocolate but a lot better. I put two scoops of it in 32 ounces of water in a tupperware thing, shake it, and drink it during my weight lifting or after a night of dancing. It mixes really well with water. I don't recommend it with milk. It doesn't mix well and doesn't taste as good. It can leave you with a bit of phlegm either way you do it but every one of the protein drinks I've tried has done that. At least this one mixes well, isn't gritty, and doesn't have a bad taste or aftertaste. Some shakes are gross to try to drink. I can chug the entire 32 ounces in a matter of a minute if I'm really thirsty. It also contains a lot of things that seem good for you, a lot of extra vitamins that other mixes don't have. It has a lot of amino acids and stuff, which is a lot better than something that is gross like 100% whey protein. Overall, this is a great product.December 12, 2017: Nearly two years since my first review and at least 3 years of using this, this is still my favorite protein shake mix. It's hard to find for a good price, but if I'm lucky, I'll find it for under $35. Unfortunately, due to the design of the safety seal underneath the lid, this product can end up being stale when it arrives (due to the seal not technically being sealed) or the container can even bust open in shipping. I've had one from Vitacost arrive and it busted open during shipping and was EVERYWHERE in the box. I've bought one each from Vitacost and Puritan Pride that arrived stale due to the safety seal being such a poor design. It's just something to have to put up with, with this product, or maybe all protein mixes. It's still my favorite though, it tastes great and does the job. It's worth having to go through the effort to tell the seller that it arrived damaged/defective. You'll know if it is stale if it heavily smells like Playdoh and the taste is terrible. If that's the problem, report it to the seller and get your money back or new product sent to you at no cost to you. My most recent purchase of it was from Amazon on October 7, 2017. It arrived as perfect as this product ever arrives--seal barely stuck on the opening and everything otherwise alright. I'm not as hardcore as I was nearly two years ago, I don't work out with weights 5 days a week anymore or dance 15 miles a weekend (more like 6 a weekend these days). So I'm not going through this stuff like I used to. I typically only open the container 1 or 2 days a week. It's December 12, 2017 today. It still isn't stale, but it is on its way. Within a month or so, it'll be on its way to Playdoh smell and taste, so I need to start preparing to make another order soon. I do have to say that despite it getting stale, the taste is still alright and the smell is too. It still does the job too. But you'll know when it has gone bad. The smell of it will make you want to hurl. Stale is ok. Bad is bad.

Ordered this months ago and absolutely love the product. However, don't buy it off Amazon or from BlueHerbs! I bought a 2nd container and it smelled sour and smelled like chemicals. I tried it and it almost made me puke. It didn't mix properly and left waxy chunks in my teeth.Amazon was great and immediately refunded my money without question and without making me return it.I used the credit to buy another bottle and this one was spoiled as well. I've used this product before so I know the benefits and flavor of it. This is my first time purchasing it through Amazon and I received the products open, I mean the seal under the pod was broken and even before removing the lid I could see powder dust around the lid and bottle. The flavor was also different and it had a smell of like plastic both flavor and smell were very distinct...attempted to exchange it but I didn't find the option-_-

I was worried this wouldn't taste good, but surprise! Its delicious. It says to use four heaping scoops. I cant imagine using that much...it would be sludge, not a shake...but I guess if you were really skinny and needed to bulk up, you could. But for me, I just use one heaping scoop and the amount of good stuff for you that's in it (even at a fourth) is really substantial. I haven't seen anything on the market that compares. Pricey, but worth it!!

My son has been using this for a few months to help him gain weight. This along with healthy eating and lifting at the gym has made a positive difference. Had to order from another website because this company was out and it took almost two weeks to get our order. Order with the Vitamin Shoppe thru Amazon and it's delivered within three days!

i have purchased this product before from gnc- it's one of my favorites .. product received looks like it sat on a shelf for 5 years after it was run over by a car .. gave benefit of doubt checked expiration date.. said to use before 07/2017 so i opened it and tasted it. it was awful. tastes old and stale... very unhappy that anyone would ship a product they called new looking like this to begin with.

Havev ordered this before but the taste is almost like it is stale, does not taste good at all!
