I have an ice cream truck & have been testing different scoops - I bought this with the option “ like new “ the scoop came today & I can not rate how it actually works because it was crusted with food as the photo illustrates , & packed with a sticker stating it’s been amazon inspected . The handle itself is completely worn & scraped up , along with the food all over it . I wouldn’t typically even write a review , however I was so grossed out that I felt it was necessary. This item clearly was just packed & an inspection sticker was slapped on without anyone even looking at it .

Showed up broken, fixed it, still breaks during use. Really poor quality spring and shifter mechanism. Save your money.

Now does this say it is an ice cream scoop. IT IS A FOOD PORTION SCOOP, TO PORTION FOOD OUT EVENLY! I use it in making biscuits and cookies or portioning out veggies and mashed potatoes or scrambled eggs. It makes plating food look nice and tidy. AGAIN IT IS NOT AN ICE CREAM SCOOP...NOWHERE DOEA IT SAY THAT..IT SAY FOR FOOD PORTIONING

I bought this from the vendor assuming the higher cost, than my local stores, meant it would stand up to ice cream. It broke on the second scoop.

I bought this as someone told me that's what is used in a commercial bakery for scooping cookie dough, wrong! Decided to try it but after the first day it broke. Had to toss. Very light weight. Didn't work for cookie dough.

The #16, (2.75 oz) scoop has a blue handle and is the perfect size for scooping out ice cream for cones! This is exactly what I wanted. It easily scoops even hard ice cream from the freezer. Clean up is a breeze!I had previously ordered a different sized ice cream scoop, but it turned out to be way to big for scooping ice cream. I might be able to use it to scoop cake batter when making cup cakes, but I haven't tried it yet for that purpose. I'm not a chef so don't understand the different sizes per #'s or really even ounces. I feel fortunate that I selected the correct size on my second attempt when ordering.

I bought this item and recieved it quickly, that is the only positive! I was using this ICE CREAM SCOOP to SCOOP ICE CREAM and it broke after only 2 days of use. I don't mind spending a fair amount of money on a product to get something of good quality but when I spend money on something that breaks within 2 days, just plain garbage! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

This is a poorly made product. As soon as we started using the scoops (I ordered 24 of them), many of the hinges broke. Also, if the hinge was not broken, the scoop did not come out clean and took several attempts to have the ice cream be released. I've uploaded 3 pictures, the first is the broken hinge, the second is what it looks like when we scoop the ice cream with this product, the third is from another company scoop. As images/social media are of the utmost importance for our ice cream store, we cannot allow these images to go public, nor can we afford to have broken parts of the scooper fall into our ice cream. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT!

This is a fine little scoop. I would highly recommend that Amazon ask sellers to add a scoop size guide with the scoops they're selling. I saw the size of the scooped cookie dough that was shown along with the scoop and thought that it would serve very well, as that and using it to scoop muffin batter into baking pans was my reason for buying one. It is not the best size, as it takes one and a half scoops of batter for the correct amount. The one I bought is a #40. Other than the size, it's a good, sturdy scoop. It would be okay for making small cookies and mini muffins.

Las queríamos para usarlas en el negocio de los helados y fuente de sodas, pero si están bastante sencillas, para uso "rudo" no resistirían mucho, pero para el hogar cuando se compra helado o se necesita en cosas sencillas y no al por mayor es una buena opción

De muy buena calidad y resistente. Lo compre para porciones galletas de forma equitativa pero también funciona para conos de helado (duh).Comprare una mas grande para que sea exclusivamente de nieve. 🤓

Esta bien para remedio o uso muy doméstico, es poco precisa y tiene mucha merma de producto, los acabados son medianamente buenos y es poco resistente

This is a lightweight scoop. Use it for batter or maybe cookie dough. First scoop of ice cream literally busted it. Not worth the $$.
