At 1500W it's better than the 1000W hotplates. Heats up quickly and thermostat held contents at a constant temperature - at setting 2 this was around 80°C.WARNING The case gets very hot as well as the plate itself so you can't touch it with hands and you need to make sure nothing is up against it while it's being used.

Works very well and quite compact

It worked well for a while but after only a month it just wouldn’t turn on any more. Also the numbers on the dial wore off very quickly, and the plate would get so hot that the dial would be too hot to touch. Not happy

While this item does work the temperature settings are a guessing game as there is nothing to tell you what the settings equate to. I have also found that the red light on the front is missing, the cover is there but there is no lamp behind it so you can't tell if the hotplate is active.There were no operators instructions included in the box so I had to look them up online and saw that there was a curing process for the plate, when I did this the whole thing emitted a foul smelling smoke for a couple of minutes so best to do this near an open window or outside.In normal use it also still produces a distinctive smell that may be off-putting but it functions ok and the smell does not seem to affect the food.

Ordered this while we were getting our kitchen renovated . Worked very well . Good value for money .

It broke down in a short time and we had to throw it away and buy a new one. In addition, the body part also heats up. In other words, the entire product becomes so hot that you can't touch it.

The numbers 1-5 disappeared after using the hot plate! The knob is also difficult to turn ‘when it is hot! It is too close to the main body . On the plus side , I like the compact size. Heating is all right.
