Works Well- We Used a LOT of Stuff
No one wants to admit to having a roach problem, but when your city council decides to move trash pickup to only once per week and you live in an older home in the southern US, unfortunately roaches will happen no matter how clean of a house you keep. These were great, they seem to be safe around the cats (although we didn't put them in places the cats had access to). We combined these with a few other brands/products, AND professional services, and our roach contractor was able to declare the situation under control by about week 3-4. Do I still have roach-induced war flashbacks? Yes. Will I be keeping a package of these on hand at all times just in case the little war lords decide to try me again? Also yes...I do want to mention that our roach specialist guy mentioned that if the bodies aren't in the way or bothering us (ew, yes, they bother ME), that we could leave them there and the roaches would cannibalize their fallen comrades, and ingest twice the poison between the cannibalization and eating the various baits that we set out. So something to think about if you're setting these in an uninhabited area. Unfortunately, we had to stay in our house during this process so if we saw roach bodies they got launched straight down the toilet or out into the yard. We're three months out from our initial sighting and now we don't see any roaches, bodies, and the bait stations that are inside our home seem to be staying full, so I think going scorched earth really taught them a lesson...

These things work really great
I am very impressed with the results of these things. I know they don't work overnight, but it sure seemed like they did. It was almost as if, when I put them out, the roaches said, ok, we're outta here. I was developing a real roach problem after the hurricane, so I got some of these. Although it says it takes awhile for them to work, it seemed like almost overnight there were hardly any roaches. I've gone from 15 or 20 when I came home at night and turned the lights on, to now, I may see 1, or possibly 2, a week. These work absolutely superbly and are most definitely worth the investment.

Kills bugs real good
Came to these from The Wirecutter's review. This thinned my apartment's cockroach population dramatically.I had been having several cockroaches show up every night in various placed for several weeks, and these killed most of them very quickly. I've been getting up after six hours of sleep regularly to go pee, and I had gotten in the habit of turning on a dim light and grabbing my salt shotgun and shooting them for a while before going back to bed. Removing the cockroaches from my apartment has improved my sleep dramatically.A few recommendations for use:- Buy twice as many as you think need. You'll end up wanting to cover more rooms, or to cover each room more thoroughly. Cockroaches tend to find safe habitats and scavenge for food around just that habitat, so you need to put traps where they'll find them when foraging.- The adhesive is not great. I've left them directly on my floor, but the traps are small enough that I don't notice them.- Cockroaches /do/ migrate sometimes, so be warned that they might have expanded to places that you haven't trapped yet. I didn't know that they had migrated to my bedroom, so I needed to add more traps there. When a cockroach dies, I've been just vacuuming it up with the wand from my vacuum cleaner. Also be careful to look for and vacuum up egg sacs (small black pellets). I had to switch from eating black beans to eating pinto beans during my cockroach problem to simplify sac identification. When a cockroach is poisoned, it can tend to wander around slowly like a drunk little bug.It took a full week for my cockroaches to explore my apartment and see all the traps. Many found the traps during the first night and died, but not all. It took me a few days to find the ones in my bedroom, so that delayed the end of the infestation. My cockroaches only come out at night. When I notice a cockroach, I grab my fly-swatter salt shotgun and shoot it. Cockroaches can sense and avoid big things coming after them, but they don't understand salt grain shots. They don't react to noise, so if the gun discharges but doesn't hit them, they don't move. The pain from the pellets (but only the pain) makes them freak out and run. Their evasion patterns are erratic because they assume that there's a predator they don't understand.I refuse to put these on my kitchen countertops, so the only bugs that I see now are the bugs whose scavenging grounds are my kitchen countertops.

Sometimes works, but not always effective
I got this to combat 'sugar ants' which are very small ants. I couldn't tell that it was actually killing the ants, although eventually they diminished. But after removing the bait they returned in a couple of days. This may work better with larger type ants.I really dislike that the opening for the ants to enter the traps was about an eighth or quarter inch above the surface it sat on, so the ants could walk right by and never find the entrance. I had to tilt the traps and let some of the bait flow out in order to let the ants find it and enter the trap. This is a major design flaw in my opinion.Bottom line is that it seems to work to some degree, but the entrance is not flush with the surface it sits on and it doesn't seem to quickly kill the ants. I'm not saying it doesn't work, but it could do a better job.

No More Roaches
I was horrified to hear there was a cockroach in the apartment and immediately ordered these. We placed them everywhere, focusing on the kitchen. After a few months, no more roach!! It's convenient because it's sealed so you don't touch the poison and the window on the trap lets you see when there's no more.
