I like the product. Use it all of the time. However, the moron who places the sticker over the needle size is aggravating me. Since I'm old and sometimes forgetful, I have to write the needle size somewhere in the packaging for future reference, and I know that one of these days, I will forget to do so. That means I have to retrieve another contraption and figure out what needle size it is ... it's just an aggravation, but this is not the first time that it has happened. Unless something is really wrong or super great about an item, I almost never review items because I want to use them for a while and then I forget about it.

Perfect for sock knitting. So slick and smooth with the right amount of point! Just ordered two more sets. Now have 20 DPN's in size two. So easy to lose one when sock knitting on the go. Seems faster at seven rows an hour with my new go-to needles!Update September 2017: I now have four sets! Have three socks out of three different yarns for three different people on my beloved needles. When I am knitting the gussets I use 6 needles for each sock: two on the ribbed top of the foot, one on the heel one on each gusset and one doing the knitting. I finished my first pair of socks December 2016. The three socks on my needles are numbers ten, eleven and twelve.I absolutely love my ChiaoGoo Red Double point 6-inch knitting needles and I am back on Amazon today to order two more sets. That will be 6 set of five each or 30 needles.

While some folks prefer to use thicker yarn and larger needles for their knitting, I've always been the sort of guy who likes the finer things-- pun intended-- and prefers to use fingering weight and sock yarns in his projects, from shawls to gloves to scarves. Topped off with a point protector, needles like this are perfect for small projects that don't require unwieldy, extra-long needles for a scarf that'll be four or five inches thick, in the case of the one I made for my young niece this winter.I've always been partial to metal needles, and ChiaoGoo's offerings are by far the best that I've experienced. The aluminum is lightweight and cool to the touch, the points just sharp enough to easily catch even the thinnest yarns. Yarn glides easily over the slick metal of these needles, which is for the most part a blessing... But be careful, because it can just as easily slide back off if you're not.All in all, I highly recommend these for any and all projects. I love them, and while they're not as essential to me as the Red Lace circular needles, also by ChiaoGoo, that I use religiously for larger projects, for small, thin projects, they can't be neat.

I now have 6 sets of 5 needles each in size 2. That is a total of 30 Knitting needles for Knitting socks, lots of socks! These are the very best sock needles ever! They are slick but do not slide off the Knitting, pointed but do not separate the yarn. The 6” length is short enough to not get in the way but long enough to not drop off Stitches! Is there any other way to say sock needle perfection. I ordered one set, reordered two more sets and have just received my last three sets. Because I carry socks on needles everywhere I go, this poses the possibility of losing a needle here and there, in the car, dr offices and on country roads where we dump our grass. Always have extras with me. Have four socks on needles as we speak. These are socks 10,11, 12 and 13. My first pair was finished less than a year ago. I am 77 years old, so old dogs can learn new tricks.

The first set I received was not slick. I own many sets of Chiagoos and the stainless sets are extremely slicks. I contacted Amazon and they replaced my set. The second set is not slick either. Either this is a bad batch, or I am being sent sets that are not actual Chiagoos

According to my knitting needle size gauge, these needles are actually sz10 and not sz9. There was no marking on the package to indicate the size of these needles (I needed a sz9). I needed to finish a project quickly and the off size wasn't crucial for me since I was just cinching together the crown of a beanie hat and the pom pom would cover any loosness. I don't think I will order from this manufacturer again.

Not counterfeit and arrived in the correct size. No sticky residue on the needles and were ready to use right out of the package.Chiagoo brand of needles are my favorite brand of needles to use, both circular and DPNs. The points are not super sharp and not blunt, but are in that perfect middle ground. When using these needles, I don't split the yarn, but can easily grab the strand through each loop for fast and efficient knitting. The metal is comfortable and glides nicely through all yarn types.

I love knitting top-down socks and have been looking for a good set of needles with great points that weren't slippery or have snags like some of the nickel plated double-pointed needles I own. These are fantastic, thanks to the sharp points that won't split yarns and do great with loosely plied yarns. The body of the needle is machined with a satin finish, which makes it less slippery, meaning that you won't so easily drop stitches if you're not paying absolute perfect attention. This is great news for people who like to watch TV or sports while knitting.And, unlike a lot of custom-machined needles (ie. Signature Needles) these won't break the bank.

The cord is highly flexible and the stitches glide easily across the needles. I also like that the cord is red, which makes it easy to see. I used to knit socks with double-pointed needles only but this may convince me to convert to magic loop technique for good.
