A Keeper
I purchased my first Chinese mechanical watch for a trip I was taking to a foreign country. I wanted something that wouldn't be sorely missed if it was lost, stolen or didn't last long. Amazingly, after six months that $18 watch continues to be accurate within 5 seconds daily. However, with subsequent purchases I have found that about 50% of inexpensive Chinese watches are keepers. The remaining 50% are either (1) a minute or more fast/slow daily, (2) do not look good in person or (3) defective in some other manner, such as visible bits of dirt inside the crystal. In essence, the buyer serves as the quality control department, which isn't too bad considering the low prices and Amazon's free returns. The example of the Classic Winner I received is a keeper. After three days, this watch is running about 20 seconds fast daily - acceptable for a $23 mechanical watch. I find that the watch is even more attractive in person. The face and hands compare well with watches in the $200 range. I was concerned the watch might look too small on my wrist, but it came in a 42 mm case rather than the advertised size of 40 mm. At first, the rotor that facilitates automatic winding was very stiff and moved in tiny increments. After a few weeks it loosened and moves much more freely. As expected, the band is a temporary, disposable piece that simply allows you to wear the watch until you find something better. Fortunately, better quality bands are available starting around $12, and a new band is a great way to personalize your watch. In terms of longevity this watch comes with Amazon's 2 year Asurion warranty. In comparison, a watch with a quality Japanese movement will cost four times the money and offer a one year warranty. However, the Japanese watch has a good chance of lasting 20 years, whereas I would be surprised if a Chinese watch lasted 5 years.

Failure
While I was initially impressed by the watch's attractive design and the apparent high quality of its materials, I unfortunately encountered significant issues with its timekeeping functionality. Specifically, the watch's mechanical movement failed to maintain accurate time overnight, requiring manual winding. Even after manual winding, the watch consistently lost several minutes each day, rendering it impractical for everyday use. This significant deviation from expected performance is deeply disappointing and makes the watch unusable.

The quality and craftsmanship was outstanding!

Good value
Good value for the price point imo. Rotor doesn't keep it wound very long(less than 24hr reserve) but if you keep it wound by hand it is plenty accurate. Still keeping accurate time after roughly 4-5 months of regular wear. Band quality is low

Low-cost wind-up
Cheap watch from China. Wind-up mechanical. Seems to keep relatively good time. Whe first received, it seemed to stop randomly even when properly wound. Now that I‘ve had it a while, and run it awhile, it seems less prone to stoppage. I bought this watch for occasional use, not for all day wear, somewhat to experiment with. It’s far more accurate and dependable than a similar low cost watch from China I bought 7 years ago. That earlier one ended up in the trash within a month or two. This one, early on, shows more promise.

nice handome self winding watch
This is a handsome watch with what seems to me be a magnified crystal that makes it easier to read the time the hands on the watch are a blue steel with a off white background that has a classic pattern. if you take it off for several hours you should wind it five or ten turns unless the winder is stiff don't force it.

Runs very well.
I like it. It is an automatic watch but I must not be active enough to wind itself because it stops in the middle of the night. No big deal, I just wind it every morning before work and at night before bed. It keeps good time and looks nice. Overall I am happy with the purchase.

Windup watch. Two thumbs down
This is a wind up watch. You can manually Wind it by hand or depend on the autowind feature it has inside. Or use a combination of both.I am not active enough for the autowind to be effective enough to keep it running through the night so I always just crank on the wind up knob a few times to make sure I have enough power to go through the night without losing time. In fact I give The little knob six long twists at 9 AM and six long twists at 9 PM. My only trouble with it is that it is difficult to turn the knob for winding up the watch. I wish the knob was bigger and easier to grasp for this purpose. Whoops. I went to set the time yesterday and when I pulled out the knob, The knob and stem came right out of the watch into my hand. It won't screw back in and stay. It is now broken and useless. I don't think it is worth taking to a repair facility. I paid $20 for the watch and it worked perfectly for 3 1/2 months and then died. I now have to lower my rating star down to nearly 0. It is a nonreturnable item after 30 days. I am sad because I lost my little mechanical heart beating several times a second all day long and all night too like a faithful companion. I guess I will have to go back to my trusty indiglo Timex which has always been my favorite electronic watch with an analog dial. Life goes on~~~:-) Love, jer Sorry

I don't wear a watch very often, but when I do, I wear it for one reason, to keep track of time. I don't need any fancy electronics or apps, I just want to look at my watch and see what the time is. Having a self winding watch is a bit of a luxury compared to a watch that can only be wound, but I wanted one where fiddling with a battery every year was not a requirement. Another plus is that when the time comes to switch to or from daylight savings time, I don't have to go through a number of steps to go ahead or back.

Für den Preis geht die Uhr voll in Ordnung. Funktioniert tadellos und macht auch optisch was her.

The GuTe and Vigoroso automatic mechanical wrist watches, that I recently purchased, appear to be the same watch in different colour formats, marketed by different companies. They both have the Winner logo and script on the dial just under the 12. I assume, therefore, that Winner is the watchmaker. For these reasons the reviews for these watches are going to be near identical. The GuTe version has an off white dial, blue fingers and blue full sweep second hand. There are black Arabic numerals indicating the hours and around the very edge of the dial are minute / second markers with Arabic numerals at 5 minute / second intervals. The strap is brown leather. This is not a high end watch. It could hardly be expected at a purchase price of merely £26.99. Also, in the instructions, it warns of malfunction that cannot be corrected if the watch is exposed to physical shock. This implies to me that the mechanism is not shockproof. However at a price of £26.99 this watch could be considered disposable. If it only lasted 12 months, the cost averaged over the year would be 51.9 pence per week, far less than a half pint of premium English bitter, and it is guaranteed for 2 years. For all that, this is an attractive watch. It has a classical elegance about it. I am a big fan of mechanical watches, particularly automatic / self winding wrist watches. They are always ready to use and there are no batteries needing renewal / disposal. They are really green. Best of all, the second hand rotates with an almost completely smooth motion. This watch keeps just as good time as my Seiko and Tissot automatics. However the power reserve is not as good as these higher specification watches. This is nothing that can’t be solved by 10 winds of the winder, morning and night. How big a deal is that? I love this watch. It will be used a great deal. The only citicism that I would make is that the date window is very small. It makes it difficult to read for old codgers like me.
